Anyone have a sage green carpet in their house? If so, what colors are your walls? I have a sage/celery green carpet throughout our lower level. Pulling it out is not an option at this point and it looks almost new. I cannot, for the life of me, choose a paint color. I'm about ready to throw in the towel and just go with neutral beiges and be done with it.

I would really like to do a tuscan color theme though. Also, Lowes has a tuscan faux paint technique that I would love to do in my dining room. I thought about doing this with some sort of a gold color. Has anyone ever tried this technique? The paint guy at Lowe's says that it is pretty hard to achieve. I have reddish oak mission woodwork throughout the house to work with as well. Painting the woodwork is also not an option for me.

We just re-did our decor with a tuscan color scheme.

I have sage vertical blinds in my kitchen that were nearly new when we began our remodeling. We put in Italian stone tile and the paint we used is a Ralph Lauren shade...I think it's called parchment, but don't hold me to it (I'll look at the can when I get home tonight and PM you). It's a sandy color.

Sage looks wonderful with eggplant and warm sand colors.

This was what I would recommend too! Very warm and inviting!

I have sage carpet in my bedroom. I like it and find it goes with a lot of colors although you need to be careful with other greens. I have seen Sage with reds, yellows, earthtones, etc. I was going to redo my spread, etc with Liz Claiborne's Bonaire comforter set but I have looked at it so many times I am totally sick of it. (which means I would have tired of it quickly) ;) I will probably stay with more greens, kakhi and neutral tones. There is a Claiborne comforter set called Lorna that I like.

Sage says pale yellows or buttery colors to me...almost like a wheat color, if you will. I like the idea of throwing a little eggplant in for contrast...think pillows or patterned valances with an eggplant/sage/buttery pattern...maybe floral??? That also sounds very "Tuscan" to me!

I have sage furniture and tan berber carpet in the living room. I couldn't decide on a paint color and went with tan. We're thinking about repainting and going with a buttery yellow.. I have a really pretty painting that has reds and yellows and greens in it, and ties it all together.

I just have to get my husband to agree to help me paint now. :)

We have sage-y green carpet in our living room. We just painted it Cracked Wheat (Behr paint)- it turned out really good! The paint is a little brighter than it looked on the paint chip, but I love the color it turned out even more. There's also some natural medium brown wood accents that work really well with it.

We'll be doing a Tuscan-y thing in the kitchen, too. Rather than mess with faux paint finishes, I'm just going to get an orange-ish plastery wallpaper to hang in there instead. More expensive than just painting, but a lot cheaper than hiring a professional to come paint it right, ya know? We found a couple of inspiration art prints that we're pulling the colors out of for the kitchen and dining room areas.

What about a darker shade of the sage green-maybe 2 shades darker then the carpet?

I have sage furniture and tan carpet. We did the walls in a butter yellow. During the summer I add blues and yellows to it. In the fall and winter, I do warm rusts and golds.
