ok, here are all the details......

Three adults
may 12th arriving as early as possible - may 16th leaving as late as possibe(like around 8pm-ish)

eat whatever we want...was thinking the dining option

leaving from either Philadelphia, or Atlantic City

no rental car...using magic express

staying at Pop Century

ok, now that I got all the little details....the cheapest I could come up with was 1533.00 for the hotel/tickets (5 day MYW base ticket)/dining and 493.20 airfare...flying Spirit out of atlantic city, and flying home on Air Tran into Philadelphia......

So my question is, would it be cheaper for me to buy an annual pass, since I am going back in October with DH and DD's, and book everything seperate, and just get the dining experiance card (or whatever it is called) or stick to the package deal??????

Please help, I am going

Are you planning to make another trip besides the one in oct?? How many days in Oct??

Well, I am going to do the 1/2 marathon in January, but I don't know if I am gonna make it a long weekend, or just do the marathon and then go home????
October trip is from Oct 23rd - Nov 3rd

Thanks for your help.

I think you should get the AP - since you know you are going back in October and you are going in January (you know you will want to stretch that trip out) ....just seems like you are a great candidate for an annual pass.

I would agree that you are a really good candidate for an AP-- you will certainly save money in the long run on just the ticket portion, and then obviously you would be eligible for possible hotel discounts.

If you did purchase the AP, I think you could do all this for cheaper. Getting an AP discount on a value resort room isn't too tough and DDE would help on the meal costs. If you did go with DDE, that could be a great value: for a 50 dollar investment, you would significantly save on most of your sitdown meals for 3 trips.

You airfare looks pretty good-- as long it's not a bother to fly in one airport and out another. My only suggestion would be to check out the cost of a Southwest flight out of PHL. I'm showing $531 RT-- I don't know if the convinience of flying back into PHL is worth it for you.

Hope this helps!

I agree with solotravel's thought.

DD just stayed at Pop this week and her and friend ate at the food court a lot. Pop food is pricy, they used the 20% dining card and saved quite a bit.

herc.

You should at least get the 10 day MYW with no expiration if you don't get the AP

Thank you everyone for the replies...I think I am gonna go with the AP and the DDE, this way I can use the DDE on the October trip as well, and since there will be 10 of us going, the savings will be well worth it. Again thank you all!!

As far as the flight goes, I had airtran down to 350.70( for the three of us), and didn't jump on that price.. ...now it is up to 630.70...UGH...I should have just bought the tickets when they were 49 each way, oh well, life goes on, but I don't mind flying two different airports if it will save me the 40 bucks...Atlantic city is about 45 min. drive and Philly is about 25 min. I don't know...I am going to wait a little bit longer and see if airtran goes down any.

From the way I understand it, you must fly in on American, Continental, Delta, Song, United and Ted inorder to use Magical Express. So if that is what you are set on doing, make sure you arrive on the right airline.

Have a great trip and don't wear out the rides before I get there a month after you! :earseek:

Actually, from the way I think I understand it, you can use any airline for your flight down you like. However, you may only check bags at your resort for your return trip if you are flying on one of the participating airlines. If you are flying another airline, you still have to check-in at the ticket counter and check your luggage there. (At least that's the way I read it)
