Just saw when you were leaving...they did say it needed to be five days before arrival but I think I saw where someone else ordered it with 24 hour notice. It's worth a shot!
Supposedly no, although there have been one or two posts of people doing just that. The exact lead time required is kind of a grey area, but the sensible thing to do is make the arrangements as soon as you can.
If you are staying on your newly-acquired DVC membership -- first of all, Welcome Home!
And secondly, just call MS and make the arrangements. Any DDP arrangements with DVC points stays must be made through MS. Only MS can tie the DDP to the DVC ressie.
If you are renting points, the DVC owner will have to call MS for you. It's no gimmie, but it's possible that if you call MS with YOUR account info and the confirmation of a rented ressie, they might handle it for you. The transaction is very straightforward (you pay on checkin, not in advance) and could not affect a renting owner's account, so they might let you do that. Pixie dust happens.
Thanks to both of you for your answers. Jim, I am bringing the closing documents and cashier's check with me to Disney. Jerry from the TSS is coming to resort to pick them up! Wonderful customer service.
This stay is on rented points and the owner just said to ask when I arrive since they are closed already. All they can say is no!
This is my last trip as a resort guest, next time I will be home!
