Please help with DDE/DDP

I am an AP holder for the first time. I have used the DDP before as well.
I have a short trip in October (3 nights) for just myself and a girlfriend, family is staying home

I booked our dinners for the three nights there,

1) Fantasmic Dining Package at Brown Derby
2) Resturant Marrakesh
3) Liberty Tree Tavern

(this is definitely going to be a heavy park trip as you can tell from the ressies).

I'm wondering which one of the two - DDE or Basic DDP is most worth it.
Can anyone out there offer me some experiences or opinions on this?
Is it worth it to use both (if that's possible?)

I thought I read somewhere that you can't use DDE for the dining packages. If that's true, your FDP at Brown Derby would not be covered.

You can use DDE for a discount on off-plan items at participating restaurants (say, appetizers or alcoholic beverages). You'd get a separate bill for those and would apply DDE to that bill. You'd also be charged 18% automatic gratuity on anything you order with the DDE discount (except at a counter service).

Thank you for your input. I do understand that they cannot be combined, I also understand that I can use the AP for things not on DDP, I'm really just wondering if they are worth it. AP price for DDE is $60. The 20% off, plus an 18% gratuity is making me think I'd have to use it for everything in order for it to be worth the initial price.

The basic DDP is $37.99 per person per night, one sit down meal, one counter service and one snack, tax included, not tip.

I guess I'm going to have to do alittle calculating in order to find out if there is actually any savings.
