Hello All! My husband and I are going to AKL for an adult only trip in a few weeks. We are in Jambo House with a savannah room. I requested a king bed, but now I'm 2nd guessing about that. When I went to a site that described the rooms, I couldn't find "Savannah Room" with King other than handicapped assessable. I did see a few that said," Garden View". -Not really sure what that means. So, should I change to queen beds? I's sorry to be rambling- But, I would like a good Savannah view for my husband who LOVES the animals! HAHA Also, How do you all request?

Thank you!!

If Savannah View is the most important request, yes I would make it my first request. Disney is a family destination. There are only a few King rooms. Making this your first request may negatively impact your Savannah hopes.

Call and talk with them. Absolutely get the savannah view and if you get two queens, then use one to lay out your outfits. :) You'll have a fabulous time regardless!

It's actually very hard to find King rooms that aren't handicapped accessible. Well, outside of the Mods where they are a bookable category. DH and I travel alone often and request king always. We end up in a lot of accessible rooms to get the king bed. But if you booked Savannah View you'll get it, baring anything out of the ordinary. Your request for a King room won't erase what you booked. They'll try to put you in a King room in the category you booked and if they can't, they'll put you in another room in the category you booked. So I'd still request King in your case

Thank You everybody! I guess I will just call and put in my requests. Is there a specific number you call, or just have it added onto your reservation? Queen beds wouldn't be terrible. It's just that my husband is 6'3" and 300 lbs and I'm a little pooh sized myself. :) We did book Savannah, so I'm sure we will at least get that.
