Please Help with Adr on first day!

I'm planning my first solo trip for Aug 15-20th. I'm getting the Dxdp. What I need help with is arrival day. Coming from Oregon it's an 8 hour travel day, I get to MCO at 5:35pm. I'm staying at CSR. I can't decide what time and where I should eat. Right now I have Teppan Edo booked for 7:15 but I'm worried about time. Then I was thinking CG, there's a 7:55 or 9:15 open. I would love to see the fireworks there. Is 7:55 doable? Is 9:15 a hard time to get a window? Should I give myself 3 hours from MCO to Adr?

A 7something time either at a park or resort would be pushing it with a 5:35 arrival. I'd go for the 9:15 CG. Even if you don't get a window table (I've never been there... so I don't know what it's like), they'll usually let you out on their viewing area to watch the fireworks.

As a frame of reference, last year I landed at MCO at 10:30am and stepped into Epcot right about 1pm, and that was without much dallying around at the resort (CSR as well) after check-in.

Thanks for the time line. The other scary thing about CG is having to pay if you don't show or you have it cancel.

I should try to find something around 9pm. I kinda want to see the fireworks, either one. Maybe that new Mexico restaurant?

I'm not sure why this adr is so hard to decide???

I never make an ADR on day 1 that I wouldn't mind missing. You just never know about flights. They can be delayed for hours.
