Hello,
We are going to Disney Aug 25 to Sept 4. We have no flexiblity in our dates. We live in London, Ontario. I have not ever found a decent priced Canadian flight. We usually fly with Spirit Air, but they have dropped their late afternoon flight from Orlando to Detroit. I think we would like to fly out of Buffalo. My kids would love a flight that has a t.v. I have think Southwest has the best return times 7am departure Buffalo; 630 pm orlando. My wish list is direct flights, early mornng from Buff or Det, late departure from Orl, T.V's for the kids and no more than 70.00 each way. I looked at Jet Blue they have a good early flight from buff, but no late departure from Orlando. Nwa from Detroit has the right times.

My questions are:
Do you think the price of the flights will go down--esp the ones from Buffalo
Which is better Detroit or Buffalo
Should I book the departure from Buffalo with Jetblue (89.00) and hope the Southwest flight goes down--it is now 140.00
Tell me about the JetBlue and Southwest flights

Thanks

Hi, We have flown out of DTW two times to go to Orlando. Southwest doesn't fly direct anymore from there. Last time we flew NWA and had really good luck with them. This time we are using Airtran. I put in your dates and it looks like you could fly NWA for $139.20 round trip per person nonstop plus bag fees. We have used qwikpark off of Merriman Rd for parking and it was alot cheaper. If you go to there website there is a coupon for a night free of parking. Last time 8 days cost us only $50 to park but that was two years ago. It was really nice though because the shuttle followed us right to our car and loaded up our bags and picked us up and took us right to our car. I thought it was easier than the airport parking. We will be there around the same time as you (8/30 - 9/8). Good Luck and have a nice trip!

Either airport is great - so whatever flight you can get for the price you want and times you want, take it. That is how we decide which airport to fly from also.

I do not see you getting tv's in the back of the seats though - Southwest and NWA do not have them )we flew to San Antonio on NWA and there were no tv's and back from Las Vegas with no tv's.

You may have a hard time finding the exact flight you want for that price if your dates are not flexible - but keep trying and look every day.

Flights are pretty low now, so don't think they are going to get much lower. Are you going to have checked bags? If so, you may want to consider a "partner" airline where you can remote check your bags at the resort.

Southwest has 4 daily nonstops in the Buffalo-Orlando market but they don't have televisions. What they do have are cheaper tickets (usually) AND no charge for luggage. Be sure to factor that into your fare comparisons. For what you save, you can probably purchase portable DVD players!

Hi,
My decision was made for me:surfweb:. NWA had a flight to Orlando from Detroit at 0705 am for $32.55:cheer2:. I really wanted to fly out of Buffalo, but I couldn't pass up that flight! When I checked back, 2 hours later it was 62.00. Now I just have to hope the return flight on NWA comes down a little--it is 92.00 :confused3right now...fingers crossed it will come down a little more. Thanks everyone!::thumbsup2

Congrats...that's a great price! I realize you have booked already but I thought I would post in case of any future trips because your flight requirements are exactly like mine so we booked one way on JetBlue and one way on SouthWest out of Buffalo. The JB flight down is at 0700 and direct (TVs on the plane) and our return is 6:00pm out of Orlando with SW and direct for $138 total pp. We fly with SW often and they are great but this will be our first JB flight.

Thank you very much!! Your price, 138 pp is great. I will keep that in mind for next time. I promised that this would be our last time:sad2:. I can not even mention it for 3 years after we get back!!:confused3. We have been too many times in 3 yrs. But, after I do my "time" I won't have to be so frugal. I hope I get a decent return flight.:surfweb:
