I thought I could book a AAA package with CRO, and just found out I can't.
I am booking in Jan for the GF and the total rack rate MYW package with hoppers and dining is about $5200. (1 adult/1 child).

If I book this way, I want to book with one of the travel agencies that offer getting me my ADRs because I will be in Thailand and not be able to book them myself (would have to get a family member to do it for me). I could also consider the fact that maybe a code or a discount might come out and save some money.

If I book with AAA the savings is about $550, but is it worth saving $550 to not have someone do my ADR's, and also maybe miss out on codes/special rates? Also, my AAA is clueless and like talking to a brick wall.....but we won't even go there. LOL!

I'll make your ADRs and call you with codes and rates for a mere $400. You save $150 :teeth:

Could you give me more details of your trip? how long & what room category. $5200 is way too high if your staying 1 week in a standard view. It should be around $3800.

AAA should make ADRs for you. If not, try to book with another AAA office. HTH!

Ours is a 10 day stay - and the quote is the same through a TA, WDW website and CRO....so it must be right. Thanks.

Change AAA TA. Find one who will book for you, will change discounts for you if a better one comes out, and will make your ADR's for you. There are several that people on the board use that will do that for you!

There will be discounts in January. Book with someone like Dreams Unlimited who can make your reservation, follow the discounts and make your ADRs. I think you'll get a better price than AAA eventually.

I just wanted to add a link to Mousesavers which had a list of the Historical Rates from 2003 - 2006. You can see that there are always discounts in January: http://www.mousesavers.com/historicalwdwdiscounts.html . Of course, Disney could be stinky this year and not offer a discount ...

BTW: You don't need someone to make your ADRs. Since you are going in January you can make your ADRs now.

:sad2: I can't believe I didn't make that connection  LOL Yep, you can make them now. You don't have to wait til you make the ressie. You're within the 180 mark so go ahead and call :woohoo:

That is a bit high for 1 adult and 1 child in jan for 5200. The CR for a MK tower view room with park hopper, and dining comes out to 3500 it can go higher, but this is for the Magic Kingdom tower room. That's the complete package room/tickets/dining. With the dining plan being all up in the air and so far no good changes as of yet and no word on any either I would check what is offered when you call as we go in feb and 3 of mine are pending trying to make their minds up to either take the plan again or go as stand alone not participating in the plan. Check when you decide where you want to dine. They told me they are being told to tell guests that they can make reservations for these places still, but they are to remember that if the go and the venue has decided not to take the plan you will be obligated to pay out of pocket. :bride:

Well I booked this yesterday....that $5200 was for 10 days, and I priced it out and it is right. Its not for a week. I booked through AAA. I thought ADRs were 60 days out, not this far, so I also got all my ADRs that we wanted too! I paid $4591.00 AAA for 10 nights GF, hopper passes, dining. I am pretty happy! I saved about $660!

I'm glad everything worked out for you! I would still check online for January discounts at the end of this month.
