When should we go?

We need help decided on when to go in 2004 and it is really starting to be a dilemma deciding.

We have an only child - son age 10

We are entertaining the idea of bringing our nephew - age 11 along as a companion for our son - but his father doesn't want him to miss out on school.

We are going to do 5 nights at WDW and the 3 night Disney Cruise.

That leaves us with Easter Week - Apr 9 - 18 =- good weather, huge crowds and nephew would be able to come.

Apr 15 - 25 - good weather less crowds but nephew couldn't come - but hubby is more desireable of this time due to weather and crowds

June 19 - 28 - more heat, humidity and crowds but nephew could come

Please post in my poll and give me your comments on what we should do

Thanks everyone

I'd say since you'd like to bring your nephew to go for June. Easter week is one of the busiest weeks of the entire year at WDW and the week after is still pretty busy do to it still being Spring Break.

June does get warmer and such but Easter time and thereabout can be pretty warm too -- crowd wise I'd say June isn't really any worse than the week after Easter though and this way you could bring your nephew along.

HTH's.;)

I'm not sure what I would do. I think that I would go the week after Easter because I would not want to deal with the heat and the crowds of June. However, I know that you would like to take your nephew too. Is there any chance that he could go then? It's early enough that his teachers can have his work ready for him in advance. I hope that everything works out for you!:Pinkbounc

I think your DS would have lots of fun with another child along. I say take the nephew the week after Easter and try to convince the Dad to let him take a week off school. I really think he'd learn more that week in the school of life than in the classroom! No offense.

Hi and thanks for your comments.

We did take my nephew with us last July (crowds weren't that bad but the heat and humidity was something else considering we're from Calif - lol)

Unfortunately, my brother in law is very adamant about my nephew not missing any school time, I do respect his decision although I don't see anything wrong with missing a few days as we have pulled our son out for a week to take our spring trips.

It just that if we can bring our nephew as a companion for our son, it makes it more fun for him and a little more relaxing for us - if you know what I mean.

So we're kind of stuck with the timeframe when he can come.

Thanks

We have beeen during Easter break a few times, and although it was a little crowded, we still had lots of fun. I think your son would have more fun with a buddy. You'll have a great time no matter what you decide...........its DISNEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
