LOL ok...husband and I are enjoying the second to last night from our DTD view room balcony at the Grand Californian while the kids are past out from the day...there's a loud rumbling that happens maybe every 30 seconds?? Sometimes more frequent?Has to be a ride. It's loud enough to hear from our 5th floor balcony, but sounds like it's coming from underground. Pirates?? Indy??? We are in a hot debate at the moment!! For reference, we are across from the Napolini entrance. Please help us crown a winner!! Haha Thanks!!

BTW, saw the new Fantasmic rehearsal from our room (2am-6am) last night...incredible!!!! Wish we were going to be here and super jealous of all you guys who will see it soon!!!!!

So it's now 12:20am and haven't heard the rumble noise in a few minutes. Park closed at midnight. So which ride was it???

Now this is purely a guess, but I'm thinking you're possibly hearing the trams? If the park just closed at midnight, they will be running pretty frequently between the parking structure and the entrance plaza.

We used to stay in pretty much the same location at the GCH, so I know the noise you're talking about. I think it comes from Indy. The large building with the camouflage-ish covering across the tram route is the IJA show building.

My favourite is when they feed the dogs at 2-3am, like what? There must be a good reason but seriously, they get so excited and bark crazily. Why not do it in daylight hours or house them away from your major hotel?
I found myself almost waking up and looking forward to feeding time after 5 days, we were also over looking DTD.

It's definitely from Indiana Jones. You can hear it when the tram drops you off and you are walking to the entrance.

Anaheim PD dogs. They used to be housed in the Circle D barn area. Now they are housed by the Anaheim Substation. It is kind of behind Tortilla Jo's. You can see it on the way in on the Monorail.
