Please Help - Sea World newbie

Our Disney vacation starts on a Sunday. Thinking of flying out a couple of days early and visiting Sea World. We have never been though so we are not sure what to expect. We will be traveling with our 3 & 4 year olds. Is the park typically super busy on a Saturday end of October? Will we get our moneys worth for a one day visit?

We went to Sea World last time because my DD (then all but 3) loves animals and we thought it would be neat for her.

We enjoyed some of the things, but overall felt that it wasn't worth it as there wasn't too much there that interested us. The shows we wanted to see were so close together that we couldn't see 1 without missing part of if not all of another.

I think part of our issue might have been poor preperation. We knew we were going for a day but didn't take the time to plan that day at all, so our first 30 minutes inside the park was debating what we want to see and how to make it work.

Overall I feel that if it's your first time there then it's worth it to check it out for a day, maybe two if it interests you more than it does my family. Otherwise I wouldn't see much of a reason to go back. We decided that we would only go back if we had another child who hasn't seen it. I would love to try the Discovery Cove portion, but there's no way we could afford it.

Diffrent strokes for diffrent folks.We allways enjoy our day thier.It all depends if your into sealife.They do have acool playground for the little ones(Shamu Happy Harbor).Just do alittle research @ i think you will enjoy
As far as crowds that time year.It's not that bad.

What I've found, and I've been a SW regular since 1978, the show schedule actually will set you into a 'flow' if you look carefully. You'll kinda see a pattern that lets you go from one show to another with about 15 min between. Is this just my opinion? Well, since we tend (over the last 30 years) to see the main group of folks at one show flow to the next show I suspect not (but I feel like a lemming)

You can see all the major outdoor shows - dolphin, seal (and otter ), and SHAMU plus feed some seals and dolphins in 6 hours. We arrive by 10 and do it regularly.....

(if you find yourself walking at SW...and you feel you are swimming up stream against the main flow....you ain't in today's show flow)
