Please help! Rethinking my whole itinerary, fastpast open Aug 10.

We will be at WDW October 10-17th. I have made dining reservations and booked our MNSSHP tickets already. I made the original itinerary around the days where we would get a full day at MK (no party days). However, looking over it now this would put us at Epcot on Sunday and Monday of Columbus Day weekend. This also puts us at HS on a Saturday, which I would think will be extra crowded. There is no dining reservation I will be sad to lose, I have no problem picking something else. We have been to WDW many times but have not done Toy Story land yet. Staying at YC. Looking for 2 days at HS, 2 at Epcot 1 at AK and 2 at MK. Please give me your opinions.

Thurs- AK, thinking switch to Epcot. Have ROL Tiffins Reservations but will be ok if I lose it.
Fri- MNSSHP, Chef Mickey first. Not changing.
Sat- HS, thinking switch to AK
Sun- Epcot, thinking switch to MK
Mon- Epcot
Tues- HS
Wed-MK thinking switch to HS
Thurs-MK This is departure day and we are leaving around 6pm.

I would definitely move Epcot to day one. Less craziness and the easiest park to get FPS.

Only do MNSSHP if you are doing it for the actual party pieces likes the parade.

The party has become overcrowded from everyone's input recently which sucks.

8 days straight at the parks is a lot. Perhaps a hotel pool day and some other on property offerings might be a nice change of pace.

Thanks! We are taking down time. Either leaving park early or going later. We don’t really concern ourselves with doing everything. However F&W is something we do enjoy so just trying to avoid crowded times. (Which I know it’s Disney and always crowded)

We enjoy the parades, trick or treating and dressing up. Plus seeing the characters in costume and the special treats.

One question that might change my two cents' worth of advice: are you planning on taking advantage of the EARLY EMH days at AK, MK and HS?

Without that knowledge here's my first set of suggestions:
If you want to do FoP with a FP+, your AK day needs to be later in the week, so either Mon, Tues, or Wed
Your non-party days at MK are limited, but I would choose Sun and leave your departure day at MK. That gives you Fri evening, Sun and then Thur (which is a party day and will mean lower crowds for your last hurrah) at MK.
I don't like weekends at EP during F&W, so I would do EP on the first Thur and then again on Mon, Tues or Wed
That leaves HS on Sat and again either Mon, Tue or Wed

However, I do not see us getting there at 6am so not sure how useful it will be. We will probably not use it Fri, Sat or Sun because my husband will be at a conference until noon. If the boys and I are up for it, maybe! lol.

Do you have park hoppers? I like doing MK on a party day and then leaving around lunch. Much less crowded than on a non party day.

I avoid EP during Friday night and Saturdays during F&W unless I am going in just for a dinner reservation.

Of course, we don't know what EEMH is going to do. I think this is especially important at HS. Since they open at 6am by 9am will it be total ciaos every day? If so, HS is going to be tough no matter day you plan but I would lean towards during the week.

Then you definitely want to put AK later in your trip to secure a FP+ for FoP as the line will be long for that one. You could also ride it at the end of day, right before closing.

With just about everything at HS being Tier 1, I would try to take advantage of those EARLY hours, if I could. It's going to be difficult to ride everything without them.
