We have a trip planned for Oct. 3-10 flying into LA and then heading to Vegas for the weekend of the 11-12 before flying back home. I've already booked the plane tickets on SW.

I'm a freelance photographer & have a chance to take on a potentially well-paying job the 3-5 but I haven't decided what to do yet. I've turned the job down once but was offered it again last night.

Should I turn down the job and stick with our plans or would the next week be better as far as crowds and everything? I'm interested in knowing how different the crowds might be, weather, etc. Opinions please and unfortunately I need them ASAP!!! TIA!!!!

Crowds in Oct. are generally not too bad. Hopefully - someone here will be able to tell you if closer to Halloween gets a lot busier. Personally, I'd rearrange my trip to take advantage of the job.

Hope you get the answer you're looking for.

I personally would take the job and go a few days later, In the feild your in one good shoot could lead to MANY more jobs!!! Plus the money you make would be extra to spend on your trip!!

Proper planning will enable you to deal with the crowds whatever they may be, so take the job and rearrange your visit. Much better in the long run, especially since we're talking about delaying your visit by a week or so.

oct should be better crouds but id take the job and deal with heavyer crouds

thanks for your help everyone. after checking hotel prices for the following week and checking on air reservation changes, i decided to go ahead & make the change. we're now heading out to DL on 10/10 & will be returning 10/18. the hotels were cheaper for the following week & there was no charge to change air ressie on SW :yay: which actually took me less than 5 min.

Gotta love SW, I wish all airlines would have their policies!
