Please help picking out a digital camera

my Dad just called and wants me to pick out a Digital Camera for my mom for christmas. She is really picky, My mom has the same DC I have I love mine and she hates hers. She always complians that it is to slow taking the pictures once she pushes the button and that it wont take alot of pictures in a row. We have a Kodak easy share camera and I have had it for 5 years and I love it and have never had any problems with so I would like to stay with kodak if possiable because it is easy to use. Price is not much of an issue, so any suggestions. I just really need it to take the picture fast for her to be happy.
