Ok, here is the deal. We are a family of 5 (3 children who go to bed and wake at totally different times) Anyway, I need to know if we should stay in a 4 bedroom vacation home near disney which is 130.00 a night OR at the POR in 2 adjoining rooms for 84.00 a night each (which I thought was an awsome rate) Please tell me the advantages of onsite. Thanks

hi: i'm a little biased-the last time we stayed off site was 1987. the amount of time spent driving to and from the parks was quite a bit and our hotel was 1 mile from the main entrance. that entrance road is very long! it will be easier to get back to the hotel on site for any mid-day breaks as well. the $ 38 difference per day will get whittled down a bit when you factor in the time it will take you as well as the parking fee each day. on the plus side for your off site choice will be the amount of space as well as kitchen facilities.

With 3 kids I would definitely stay on site. You'll save time travelling & if one adult wants to go somewhere with a child, he or she can just hop on a resort bus.

If you want to save money, there is nothing wrong with the All Stars either...I'd rather stay there than off-site. I personally think it's more magical staying on site and is definitely worth the extra $$.

I agree with you DisneyLisa, staying on site (for us)far out ways staying OFFSITE. With Kids and Adults getting tired or just needing a break, being able to hop on a bus or monorail and withing minutes, you're back at your resort.

Also remember that the moderate and value resorts onsite only have 2 double beds or 1 king bed. No Queens. To some people that is important.

I read a post that someone had booked a moderate and had not idea of the double beds and that was not going to work for them when they found out. So now they are trying to change their reservations.
