Please help - Need to find good backpack for DS...

I remember seeing a thread on here about either LL Bean or Landsend backpacks. Can anyone give any insight as to what kind are good. My son is 6 and is starting 1st grade in september. Thanks!

I just got my DD one from LL Bean. She has their rolling backpack and has used it for 2 years. It looks brand new but she'll be on the 2nd floor of her school starting this year and it's just too heavy for her to carry up a full flight.

She'll be going into 3rd. Her elementary goes through 5th so we should get at least 3 years out of it. She wanted the one with the panda on it so it might seem babyish to her by 6th grade.

DD8 has had the LL Bean Critter Pack since kindergarten. She is getting ready to start third grade and it looks brand new. It is still plenty big for her needs as well. I think she will get tired of it before it wears out, but she is getting ready to start using it for the fourth year! Well worth the money spent!
