Okay, here is the quick background...A few weeks ago for my birthday my DH made up this "proclimation" that Oct. 10th would be my extended birthday at WDW :D He made a PS for 9am for us at 1900 Park Fare, followed by a 50 minute sweedish massage at GF Spa and then I get to pick lunch and whatever for the afternoon.

Then he made a PS for a reastaurant we have never been to, and wrote up a few more clues, which I figured out we were going to California Grill!!! :D I was so excited and proud that he did so much on his own (usually I am the PS maker, etc!) Anyway, he said the CM he made the PS with insisted that it is totally kid friendly, we have an almost 3 year old, and while he is really good most times we go out to eat, I was so afraid that this evening would be not the case and I wanted us to enjoy the meal as I have read so many wonderful reviews!! I also get the impression that it is not a quick meal, so I think we need to go there when DS is a little older or when my mom comes with us and we can have a night out.

So my thoughts were trying Flying Fish or Spoodles since we will be staying at BWV and have never been to either. We also have been to Yachtsman Steakhouse (by ourselves) and LeCellier with DS and both were awesome. Since DH worked so hard on planning a great day I was trying to pick a nice dinner too!!

Thank you!!:)

Well, I would stick with CG. There are always plenty of children there.

I agree w/ BCV23, stick w/ the CG.
We have taken our DD there since she was 2 years old.
The CG welcomes children
It a great restaurant!

I'd stick to the plans your dh made even if you'd rather eat elsewhere (although it doesn't sound like you would - you're just worried about your child). Because he went to such effort, I'd just praise him and happily head to CG.

Why not make it an adults only evening and spring for in-room babysitting?

If you want to stick with a place close to where you are staying, you can't go wrong with either Flying Fish or Spoodles.

If he likes pizza then spoodles would be a good choice.

Thanks for the replies everyone!!

I think we might just stick with it, and cross my fingers and make sure I bring plenty of little books and crayons to keep him busy!

Can I request a window table when we check in at the podium?

Thanks again :D

Yes, you can request a window table at ck-in. Make sure to state "a window table facing the MK side)
You might have to wait; but its worth it.

CG puts white paper down and gives children (and adults) crayons.

Enjoy!

Just another note that CG is a kind of noisy place and is big and open so your little one will have lots of distractions and it won't be a big deal if you need to take the little one for a stroll out on the observation deck and such if he gets restless. I'd say CG is more kid-friendly than Flying Fish.
