DBF and I are going on our first trip together with no kids. I am looking for suggestions for Breakfast for our EPCOT day.

We love Characters so Character dinning is not an issue. Just wondering what is good and easy to get to Epcot.

Was thinking Chef Mickey but I heard that it was really loud and not sure if I want a headache before I start my day in the parks

TIA for any suggestions you may have.

Since you love characters, how about Akershus? It's a lovely quiet setting with the princesses. You get a photo with Belle. The food is good. It's in Epcot's World Showcase however, and with ADRs you will be let in to get there.

Hello! Character meals that are easy to get to Epcot and hopefully not super crowded. I like 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian, and also the Cape May Buffet at the Beach Club. Akershus in Epcot might be fun as well. Have fun!

Cape May Buffet at the Yacht & Beach Club gets my vote. It has characters & when you are finished dining, it's a 5 min. walk to Epcot. :thumbsup2

We always liked grabbing breakfast at Seasons, outside of Soarin'. They gave a wide selection and are pretty quick.

If you want a nice sit-down breakfast, what about the princess one in Epcot. That might get you into the park before RD

Cape May is one of our favorites, but it can be tricky to get to the BC unless Epcot is already open. Or unless you are driving.

Cape May at Beach Club. I think we met Minnie, Goofy and Chip & Dale there. They're in beach attire and super friendly. It's a laid back character experience - no fighting for food or for character time. The food is fresh and plentiful. The Beach Club is lovely, and from there, it's just a short walk to the World Showcase. The only downside is that you've then got to walk through WS to get to Future World (assuming you're aiming for early morning).

If you don't have a car to get to the BC, taxis are inexpensive and convenient.

Your other alternative is Akershus in the World Showcase. I believe it's served family style and you'd be able to meet princesses. I would guess it's more expensive and harder to reserve than Cape May. Then, you still have the WS to Future World problem.

We usually have breakfast at Sunshine Seasons in the Land Pavilion once a trip. It is never very good. It is, however, very convenient when you've high-tailed it to Soarin at rope drop. By then, we're pretty hungry so it hits the spot. Here's the whole breakfast menu:

Adult Breakfast platter - Bacon, Eggs, sausage, and a biscuit $6.29

Oatmeal - add raisins or brown sugar no extra charge $2.79

Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Croissant $5.99

Kids' French toast - with sausage $4.39

Not much to it and again, it's just ok, but it's definitely easy to fit into a touring plan.

One other thought is Kouzzina on the Boardwalk. It tends to get GREAT reviews for breakfast, and it's just a short walk from WS as well.

I would go to the Boardwalk.. The bakery there is excellent. Try cinnamon roll delicious.

I also suggest Akershus at EPCOT. My girlfriend and I had lunch there in May and the princesses were great with us (we find we get better interaction with "face" characters than with "maked" characters). Cape May is good too, but if you aren't staying in that area or don't have a car or don't want to start budgeting in the cost of taxis, it is not that great that it deserves the extra hassle. Breakfasts are pretty similar wherever you go so it really comes down to which characters you want to see.

Another plus is that if you can get an ADR before the park opens, it gives you a chance to get some great pictures without too many people getting in your way. My girlfriend and I love ADR's for before the park opens or that get us out after the park is closed.

Thank you so much for all the suggestions. I Love Akershus (we took my DD there for her 4th birthday last year) but he said No Princesses this trip. I guess he is over the princesses. He suggested Chef Mickey so I think that is where we will end up. I want him to think he is helping with the planning so I will give in and bring plenty of Advil in case of headache.

1900 PF is another good option if you want to eat in that area. My girlfriend and I usually go there for a late breakfast/brunch on a MK day. Like CM, it can be a busy atmosphere. The characters are Alice and the Madhatter (MH is a lot of fun), Mary Poppins, WtP and Tigger too. Like I said, the breakfast food is similar wherever you go, it really depends on the characters you want to see. You really can't go wrong with any of the character breakfasts. :thumbsup2

No one had mentioned this yet, so I will...we are eating at 7:30am at Ohana on our Epcot day. It has Mickey and a family service breakfast and then you can walk 5 mins to the TTC and get the direct to Epcot monorail. If you want Mickey, but not the grosso Chef Mickey's - this might be a good idea for you! :)

Since you think Chef Mickey's might be too loud, how about the Wave for breakfast? Same resort, qiuter breakfast? I haven't tried it, but the menu looks yummy!

The breakfast buffet at the Captain's Grille is good and fairly priced; and you can then walk over to EPCOT. But if you are looking for characters head on over to o'hana's at the Polynesian- They have wonderful food, and Stitch is always fun to meet. Afterwards you can then hop on the monorail and head on over to EPCOT.
