Please help!! Need advice re: FL resident rate

We are staying at the WL with my parents(FL residents) in May for 3 nights. We have decided to go early for the whole week (without my parents). I am trying to decide if it would be worth it to just book a package on our own so we can get the park hopper/water park rate or stay with the FL resident rate at the WL for the 3 nights and non resident the other three. Does anyone know the difference in price and whether it would make a substantial difference? I hope this make sense. Thanks!

The FL resident discount for deluxes in May is $95 off rack rate per night. I guess it depends how much the package saves you, and will just have to crunch the numbers. Hope this helps. . .

Tough choices - we went thru that too = my parents are FL residents, we went with their code - until a pkg code came out and we had to rebook to take advantage of the pkg code!!

I do know this year we're doing a split stay, and want a package, it confused me to try and book both - I got MYW tickets for our "Room only rate" and then booked a WL pkg for 3 nights - but had to buy a one day "base" ticket to get the pkg!!

Good luck deciding, just do what fits your family - it will all work out in the end!! No matter what - - its DISNEY!!

I ended up booking a MYW package with the free hopper. It was pretty even so I decided to go with the package.
