I can see there is tremendous support on these pages, and I am hoping that you experts might have some good advice for helping my MIL enjoy "the world".

She has terrible back, neck, and auto-immune problems. She has to take water pills, and a host of other meds, so she is a bit of a slave to her meds. She is just always in a lot of pain. At the end of even an easy day she is in so much pain, it is hard to watch.

She can't sit for any length of time. Walking too much is really hard on her. She has the least amount of pain when she lays down. With that being said, we can't wheel her around on a gurney all day!

I guess I am just looking for ways to help her enjoy her time, any suggestions?

Hi and :welcome: to disABILTIES!

I woulkd suggest you start by clicking on where it says "disABILTIES" at the top of this page it will take you to the Index. One of the top items is the "disABILTIES FAQ" which will gives lots of useful information.

Or, if you want an easier route, click on the link in my signature.

My basic suggestion would be renting an ECV or wheelchair, but she can get up and walk on occasion. Also, there is a staffed First Aid in each of the parks, and if it necessary for her to lie down for a while she can go to one of them, as they do have places where people can lie down if necessary.
