Which would you pick? we're going this weekend and between UG and these boards the advice is conflicting!BTW,what's been your experience lately as far as going for EMH,going the day after EMH or following the UG?We only have 2 1/2 days and would like to make the most of it with minimal park hopping. TIA :flower:

I would never tour MK on a Saturday. Sunday is going to be busy too. I suppose that Monday would be the least of all evils but that day is likely to be pretty busy too.

Disney emailed me and told me weekends are less crowded at all the parks. I don't know how true that is though. But we plan to go to MK on a Sat in May (because it fits our schedule and Spectro plays that night). Of course my itinerary I cared less about "best days". I actually picked some EMH days so we'd have extra time at the parks.

I have been to Mk on Saturday and on Monday and to me both were very crowded so if it were me I would choose Sunday but it also has to do with what season you are going in and also if it is EMH that day. My family's strategy has been that lately we have stayed away from the Emh park, but everyone has their own strategy and opinion. Hope this helps.

I was there March 2 to 7. The 7th was Monday and MK was incredibly crowded.

Since your time there is so limited, and you did not state what parks you are interested in visiting, I would offer the following advice.

Start with another park first and save the Magic Kingdom for last. I would go to Epcot first or MGM. Concentrate on your must see attractions. If you have two nights for entertainment, my choices would be Fantasmic and Wishes. If you want to catch a parade, definitely see the one at Magic Kingdom.

I've done a ton of research on this. Definately go on Sunday. Saturdays and Mondays are nasty.

Just back last night, GOOD LUCK! Here's our advice: Go early, get out by noon! We went Saturday morning, rode the monorail over from GF, not too bad, it had just finished a thunderstorm so the sky was still grim looking. We walked in around 9, opening was at 8. Walked up main street, saw the dancers, even the easter bunny and Mrs. bunny. Walked onto Space Mountain, literally, couldn't even absorb the pre ride stuff. Walked out, went on Buzz, walked onto Peter Pan and Small World. Almost like we were alone the park was so empty. Did Haunted Mansion, went to BTM, our fastpass time was upon us, told it was down, FP's honored all day and night. Rode Pirates, Jungle Cruise, left by 10:30, main street was already crowded since the sky had turned blue. Over to EPCOT, all FP's for Test track gone by noon :earseek: On SUnday morning we went to MGM from GF, waited forever for the bus. Got there around 10, FP'd TOT, thrn got in 30 minute line. Came off, it was almost time to ride, so we stood around. Rode, then got another FP and strolled over to Sci Fi for our 11:30 lunch. Came out, got a FP for Little Mermaid at 1, walked over to Tower, had to wait in the FP line so we missed the LM. The wait for the Great movie ride was 45 minutes by 12:30 :earseek: We left MGM after riing TOT the last time, went over to EPCOT, still unable to ride Test Track. Standby was 65 minutes and cliimbing, single rider was about 30. Back to GF. On Monday, thought it'd be easier since a lot of people had to be back to school. Actually was at MK for opening ceremonies, FP'd BTM, rode it, rode splash, went back to BTM, down indefinitely. The line for stitch was longer than the one for space mountain! Crowds were crazy and stupid. Groups of teens standing in the middle of the concourse coing from the hub to tomorrowland, blocking all pedestrian traffic as they talked and flirted. We ate lunch at the noodle station (not our favorite) and went back to EPCOT. Crowded again, all FP's for TT already gone by 1PM. Waited in line for 45 minutes and rode it. Were actually given a cast member fast pass good for up to 6 people anytime. Tried to use it, FPline was greater than 45 minutes. Went over to MS to use those FPs, same thing, super long FP line, then the ride went down indefinitely. Back over to TT, line still ot the building. Wound up giving away the anytime fast pass. Didn't even try to go back to MK any evening. I was amazed, crowds seemed a lot heavier than the same exact time last year!

Also, during regular attendance periods, our Parks tend to be the busiest on the following days:

Magic Kingdom® Park: Monday, Thursday, and Saturday
Epcot®: Tuesday and Friday
Disney-MGM Studios: Sunday and Wednesday
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday

Disney wrote me:
"As a general rule weekends tend to be a little less active than are weekdays although the difference is very slight."

I swear everything I read is different. 3 different sources may tell you 3 different things. I'm starting to think it doesn't matter when you go :)

We were just there on Monday it was overly crowded I would avoid Monday's.

The Unofficial Guide suggests Sat. because everyone is travelling that day and to avoid Monday.

All the sources I've seen seem to agree that Mondays are very crowded.
As far as Saturday and Sunday, there's more disagreement.
If you trust the UG, go on Saturday.
If you trust the majority of posters here and most other websites, go on Sunday.
