Hi everyone,

I am so excited... we will be staying at the Beach Club Villas in May!

I wondering what room(s) offer the quietest location? I don't really care about the view. I am willing to sacrifice view for a good night's sleep and a little R&R. I am nervous b/c I have read in other threads that BCV can be noisy? Any input would be much appreciated.

Thanks so much :goodvibes

We stayed at the BCV in January. We had room 463, which had a great view of Epcot and we could see Illuminations. Occasionally, we could hear a little noise from the traffic below, but that was not often at all.

BCV was extremely relaxing and we had a great time.

I found the BCV to be exceptionally quiet, even during Christmas/New Year's week. The 2 times we stayed we had a view of the quiet pool and/or canal -- so the opposite from the Epcot/woods view side.

The woods view can be very noisy at night from the fireworks. We had a woods view the last time we stayed at BCV, but not an Illuminations view. So we could hear the booming, but not see anything, except flashes of light reflected on the building.

You may want to see if you can get a courtyard view towards the BC.

Overlooking the pool can be loud during warmer months when people seem to ignore the signs that say that the pool closes at 10pm.

We like the woods view with Epcot in the background. We stayed in a studio last year in room 422. It was quiet during the day with no traffic noise that you get in some of the rooms.

We stayed in 1br #320 last Dec. It was next to main elevator and a good fireworks view.

Yes, this happened to me at OKW at a "quiet pool"... so much for quiet! People were in the pool until well after midnight. I don't think they realize how easily the noise carries into the rooms. I now always request no pool view.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions... although now I am thoroughly confused! ;)

Unfortunately, quiet pool has nothing to do with being silent or noiseless. It means a non-themed pool. But if you ever have a problem with too much noise at a late hour, you can always call to have someone check it out.

My favorite studio. However I got some traffic noise as people got on/off the elevator and insisted on yelling to the rest of their party.

For quiet, I recommend the "jog" (to the right) about 1/2 way down the hall if you turn right when you get off the elevator. In addition to being a devout OKW fan, DH is an extremely light sleeper. So I was somewhat nervous when he agreed to come stay with me for a few days during my visit to BCV last year. Although he said BCV was "OK", he did marvel at how quiet the area we stayed in (that "jog") was.

Thanks everyone for your replies... I wonder if I just request a "quiet room" if that will make a difference?!?! Has anyone ever tried that approach?

If you give specific room numbers what are the chances that you will indeed get that specific room?

Thanks again! ;)
