Please help me with park plans for people arriving on different dates.

So we arrive 10/25, my brother arrives 10/28 and two of my sisters arrive 10/29. They are all staying at Polynesian, park tickets w/hoppers.

We aren't making any requests to be near each other. No big deal right? Same resort is fine.

On each's arrival day we will already have plans for those of us that are already here. Would you be offended if basically when you arrived we were already in parks and I said to meet us somewhere if you'd like, or wait until we get back at resort? They are all arriving early afternoon on their respective dates.

I think I've got our dinners figured out - I can make all of our reservations at my 180 day mark.

The problem is the rides....I would have to make everyone's fast passes at each of their 60 day marks, correct? Quite frankly, I don't have time to do that, work and all that. :p And I don't really want to link everyone to my MDE, I want them to be able to manage their own accounts.

Would it be feasible to make mine for the two of us, then just send them our schedule and have them mirror within the hour if possible our rides? We all would be in parks together.

I really have no idea how to approach this.

Looking for advice! Thanks! :)

The only problem you might encounter is if you are trying to get FP+ for any of the super popular rides (7DMT, FEA, ROL, etc.). For most attractions, you should be able to book yours, email everyone your choices and they should be able to get at least an overlapping FP+ so everyone can ride together if desired. The popular ones you may be lucky if you can even get them on the same day, let alone at the same time. If you all want to ride those together, you will probably have to schedule rope drop in the applicable park and make those attractions the first priority.

Would it be possible if they made theirs for the big rides that I could edit our times we already made to match theirs? If not, to be honest I'm not going to worry - they can go on the popular rides at their times and we can do something else. We'll have already done them all before they even get there! As long as we area all in the same park and do a few things together, it should be okay.

You can try, and you might get lucky with a cancellation you can pick up. But for the really super popular things, people don't tend to make many changes unless absolutely necessary. I may be one of the few exceptions. I usually end up making FP+ for every day of my trip, and then cancelling about 1/3 of the days because I decide to do something else. So there's always a small chance someone could be cancelling the FP+ you need. The nice thing is you can check availability as often as you want to without jeopardizing your original FP+ selections.

There are things I like about fast pass plus, but organizing trips for multiple arrival dates is not one of them. :faint:

- We often travel with others, sometimes at same resort, most times at different resorts and it works out fine.
- No offense, we actually tell others do what you want it's your vacation too, we'll meet up.
- Even days together, we never travel to parks together in case last minute someone wants to sleep or is late.
- We set up meeting times at the park in the morning.

- I'm thinking you can make everyone's FP+ at your 60 day. We often meet friends who live in Orlando, have no resort reservations and we make their FP+ with ours at 60 day because we are connected on MDE.

If everyone has tickets linked, and you have everyone connected to your friends and family list..for the days you'll be with others in the park, you can make fps for them on your 60 day mark. So you won't have to try to copy and paste your rides to their's or send them your list of fps and times so they can try to get the same, you can just select everyone's at once.

So they don't have to be on your reservation, and it'll mean they'll have FP's made ahead of their 60 day window..but if that's something you want to do then you can

I did not know this!!! So I can make their reservations the day I make mine! Awesome.

What do I need to do to link their tickets to mine and have them on my friends/family list? I wasn't planning on it, but if it means being able to make their fast passes when I make mine, I will do it!

They need to have tickets linked to their own MDE, and have everyone on your friends and family list. Go on MDE to "my account" then "friends/family". Either add them or just verify their all already there.

Then once your 60 day window opens you can select fps for everyone on your list. Vice versa, if they want to book their own, they can at your 60 day window. An on site stay opens up everyone's booking even if one person is staying on site and the rest aren't. But it'll be easier and quicker if you just make the FP's for everyone at once. They can individually edit theirs if they want to change anything

I kindof depends how crazy they are about planning and riding certain things together. On their arrival day I would say they are on their own to meet up or not. Have you been on vacation with them before and how did that go? If you all want to ride together it might be tricky. I agree with others that just make your own plans and let them know what they have to do. If they're not into being in at rope drop and you are don't worry too much if they don't ride some things because that's just crazy. I'm usually in Orlando the week before your trip and it's a fairly slow time. Maybe think about what you would do if they weren't with you then call each of them to see what they think about the plan. Make sure they have MDE accounts linked to reservations and tickets so they are set to make FPs before the day they actually need to make FPs. Then let them know the day they can make FPs. If it's possible to even be on the phone with some of them while you're making them. My husband would rather not go on a ride if we can't sit together so single rider is out if he's with me. Good luck with this one.

Thanks!!! All but one have an active MDE with their tickets linked, so I added them today. My other sister still needs to link her tickets (she bought from undercover tourist) so I'm waiting on that for her. She is sharing a room with my other sister, so I think she is being added to my sister's room reservation when she arrives? I'm not sure how that works, but that's for them to figure out. But she's got park tickets!

So helpful! :)

Thanks! Found out I can make all of our fast passes when my window opens, so I'm going to do that! If for some reason I can't get all of us together on some rides, I will just make sure everyone has a partner who wants one. :)

They are very laid back about the trip, so they are fine with me making all the reservations for everything. I got their input on where to eat, but if I were to try to discuss fast passes with them, they would stare at me as if I were speaking gibberish. :p

This is just me and maybe someone else has a better suggestion but I would either want to micromanage everyone (if that is what they wanted) OR and most likely this one... Book dinners together and catch when you can. LOL!

I'm not really micromanaging, at least I don't think. I will plan parks/fast passes for mornings/early afternoons (no one in our group sleeps in) and then everyone is free to do what they want and we can meet up for dinner. Actually everyone is free to skip out on the plans I make too. I just want some things in place for the group if they want to take advantage.

I'm perfectly happy with everyone just meeting up for dinner! It's just I want them to have the chance to go on the popular rides too, so I will make the fast passes and it's up to them to use them or not. But I bet they will. :)

Me again...what I will do is send them what park we will go to on what day and ask them to give me their priority rides. Whatever 3 are most popular with the group is what i will book and if people want to get on other rides we didn't make fast passes for, they are free to rope drop!
