We are off in about three weeks.
We are staying at Sheraton Vistana Villages in a two bed appt. A friend stayed there last year and requested via email (and got, free of charge) a lock-off which is an additional one bed appt attached to the two bed.
We are going with my Mum and although there is a more than enough room for all of us in the two bed it would be nice for her to have her own space.
My friend has forwarded me the hotel mgr's email (hope he still works there!) to request it.
Is it cheeky to ask? :confused3
What shall I say? :confused3
TIA.

Don't let it worry you too much - We stayed in the 2 bedroom in 2003 and the suites are huge. I'd be very surprised if you got an extra room for free as Virgins prices are extremely cheap in comparison to the other hotel booking sites (you're looking at not much less than £1000 for a week on other sites). That besides, I wish you all the best and anythings worth a try ...... keep us posted.

PS .... The villages is so good we're going again in October !!!!!!!!!!!!

Or give them a ring, they're really nice to speak to and will bend over backwards.

We did and got an apartment in the quieter newer section last year. Great service.

I always sent a letter to both the Disney Hotel and the HRH about 2 weeks before we go. I start the letter with a UK flag in the middle , and put Greetings from the UK as the heading. They always have the letter when i check in, always comment about it and i have always received my request....i don't ask for specific room just an area. Maybe this sort of approach may work? I could PM you a copy of the last letter that i sent (if i can find it amongst all the rubbish on my laptop)

Ooo thanks for advice.:thumbsup2
I am of the school "if you don't ask you don't get", Having said that I have to admit I'm not too bothered, however I did mention it to my Mum and she has asked me if I have yet requested.
I like the idea of the "newer, quieter" section, is this the "keys" section? I may just request that. I've heard it can be a bit noisy near the main pool.
Thanks.
Jo.

My wife cringes when we check in and I give them my list of requests. Which building, which floor, which way our balcony faces etc. But you're right. Shy boys get nothing! and they've always been happy to give me what I ask for.
We always stay in the Marriott vacation club hotels.
