Please help me with car rental

I haven't rented a car in years and now I need help in finding the best (cheapest) rental that I can for October. Any tips, sites, or discount codes you can suggest for me, please?

I check car rental savers on a daily basis, they seem to be great! They have discount codes built in to their website and you can even add your own discount codes (which I usually check for on mousesavers). They have gotten a lot of good reviews from fellow dissers, from what I have seen. I have lowered my rate several times through them over the past few weeks for my August trip.

Try http://www.carrentalsavers.com/florida-car-rental.html. This website will run a search for your dates using the most popular/best promo codes for all of the major car rental companies. The site also has a list of coupon codes (additional savings that can be applied to your rental) - go to http://www.carrentalsavers.com/coupons.html to find the coupons.

You can also try rentalcodes.com. I got a good rate from US Airways under travel specials. They have discount codes for hotels and cars.

I really appreciate all the help.

I will also share some information with you that was new to me.

We recently changed insurance and I had DH call our company just to confirm that we were covered on the rental car. They said that we were, but that now-days the rental car companies have started to charge people for down days the car is in the shop and also for the depreciation the car takes due to the fact that it will show on carfax that it has been in a wreck. She said that the insurance does not cover those two things! We checked and the credit card coverage does not cover those costs either.

I am thinking that the time in the shop issue vs. cost of extra insurance may or may not be a wash...but the depreciation hit could be ugly.
