Hopefully I am putting this in the right place...
My DD (8yrs), my mom and I are going to have 1 1/2 days at Disney prior to our cruise June 9. I know 1 1/2 days isn't nearly enough time, so I am trying to make the most of the time we do have. My DD is an adrenaline junkie and loves rides (the faster the better, but not so much dark/loud), but she also loves animals and has said she wants to go to Animal Kingdom (based on the name only - she knows nothing about AK).
We have been to Disneyland twice (though I don't think DD remembers much of it). We are staying at Art of Animation and are hoping to spend a little time there as well. 
We should arrive early afternoon on the 7th. At this point, I am thinking AK and MK, but I don't know how to split up our time! 1/2 a day at AK sounds doable to me, but will we see many animals in the afternoon/evening in the June heat??? Or, should we go to MK 1/2 day we get there, doing as much as we can that day and then a park hopper for our full day - doing AK first thing in the AM and then heading over to do a few more things at MK once we are done with AK??? Would it be worth the $ to have a park hopper for our full day if our main objective at MK is rides and we may be waiting in line more than anything else???
