Hopefully I am putting this in the right place...
My DD (8yrs), my mom and I are going to have 1 1/2 days at Disney prior to our cruise June 9. I know 1 1/2 days isn't nearly enough time, so I am trying to make the most of the time we do have. My DD is an adrenaline junkie and loves rides (the faster the better, but not so much dark/loud), but she also loves animals and has said she wants to go to Animal Kingdom (based on the name only - she knows nothing about AK).
We have been to Disneyland twice (though I don't think DD remembers much of it). We are staying at Art of Animation and are hoping to spend a little time there as well.
We should arrive early afternoon on the 7th. At this point, I am thinking AK and MK, but I don't know how to split up our time! 1/2 a day at AK sounds doable to me, but will we see many animals in the afternoon/evening in the June heat??? Or, should we go to MK 1/2 day we get there, doing as much as we can that day and then a park hopper for our full day - doing AK first thing in the AM and then heading over to do a few more things at MK once we are done with AK??? Would it be worth the $ to have a park hopper for our full day if our main objective at MK is rides and we may be waiting in line more than anything else??? Thanks in advance for your help/suggestions!
