Hello, family of 4 (kids are 3 and 6) planning on going to Disneyland Paris for the first time in March. Would like to stay at Sequoia, or second choice is Cheyenne.

I'm thinking the parks will be 3 days, plus want to do Paris 1 day so 4 full days. Travelling will likely be a full day affair each way, or not far off (I'm coming from the Channel Islands, flying non-direct to CDG). 4 nights / 5 days hotel is within my budget but really want more which is getting rather pricey.

I thought about staying 4 nights at Disney and then moving somewhere cheaper for 2 nights - maybe by the airport and doing Paris from there? Or stay in Paris? Or Paris first? I don't know the area at all so would appreciate views!

Many thanks.

you could absolutely do that, there are loads of hotels and apartments near to DLP and not far from Paris and the airport at CDG :).

Oh, and welcome to the DISboards!!

As you might have read, Disney to Paris is about 40 minutes by RER train. It's perfectly do-able to travel to Paris from Disney and vice versa; so it's no problem to stay in "the city" for the last (or first) part of your trip.
Here's a metro map, which shows Disney in the east and the airport in the north:

The area around the airport may not be the most logical choice to seek a hotel. I remember getting good deals in the west/north west part of the city (in the vicinity of red RER line stop "La Defense" on the map) (but closer to the centre than the airport is).

Happy planning! :)
