please help me pick a place to stay

I've been to wdw twice in my life, both times stayed on site. Now I am going with family who want to share a house or a place off site. I have looked and looked at houses to rent. What are the more reliable sites or groups to rent from? Also, would you suggest renting near seratotta beach or st. petes, as opposed to near disney. How will the prices go for July (a week)?? I've heard serrasota is most expensive, so confused.

beaches are more expensive in the summer time.

if you are going to WDW stay in Kissimmee, Lake Buena Vista or Orlando.

now if you are going to the beach - then stay there

gasoline prices are high - and will probably go higher - so would stay as close to WDW as possible.

Everything I've read has said that All Star Vacation Homes is the GoTo place for WDW rentals.

We've never done it-- we prefer to stay on site-- but based on what I've read, I would get a house/condo in Windsor Hills from them.

If you want a more economical beach vacation combined with a day trip or two to WDW I would recommend Cocoa Beach. It is only about an hour away from Orlando. In my experience I have found that the ocean side is less expensive than the gulf side. I prefer the gulf side for the soft white sand beaches, but have been to the ocean side a few times and enjoyed the ocean waves too. (You really don't get any waves on gulf side.)

As far was renting a house or condo I would recommend VRBO. I used them twice for rentals here in Wisconsin without any problems. I'm sure others will have suggestions. You may want to try bookit.com if you would want to try a condo rather than a house. They have great prices. I've used them 4 times without any issues.

Royal Mansions Resort is a condo resort right on the beach that gets excellent reviews on tripadvisor.com.
