We are doing DXDP in August and have a big mix of signature, character, and various other TS meals. I bought some Disney themed dresses from Hot Topic and Torrid for DD14 and I. Would these be appropriate for the signatures, or should we save these for the regular meals and just pack a few plain sundresses for CG, Narcooses, etc?

Although the restaurants have a dress guideline on the website, I've noticed that these aren't really enforced. The only restaurant with a strict dresscode is Victoria and Alberts. Some people like to get really dressed up for signatures (I'm one of those people), but I've also seen people there in park clothes. I would wear whatever you feel comfortable in.

FSU Girl is correct. Don't stress too much about what you wear to a signature dinner, if you want to make it a nice event then dress up, if you're having dinner on your way home from a park no need to change unless you want to.

Edited to add - we wear presentable clothes to the parks!

Here's the dress code for Cali Grill and Narcoosee's, which are the same:

Dress Code
At this signature dining experience, Guests are asked to adhere to the dress code.

Men may wear khakis, slacks, jeans or dress shorts and collared shirts. Sport coats are optional.

Women may wear Capri pants, skirts, dresses, jeans or dress shorts.

Not permitted are tank tops, swimsuits, swimsuit cover-ups, hats for gentlemen, cut-offs, torn clothing and t-shirts with offensive language and/or graphics.

I'm presuming the rest, like Jiko, Artist's Pointe, etc, are similar.

As long as the dresses your daughter don't have anything offensive on them, they'll be fine. As @FSU Girl said, the only restaurant with a strict, and strictly enforced, dress code is V&A.

I always like to go back to the room, shower and "dress for dinner" - kinda like Downton Abbey lol. Especially when it's hot. I feel like I need to wash the sunscreen, sweat and germs off.

My go-to outfits for dinner is a nice cap sleeve sundress. I shove a light cardigan in my purse in case it gets cold in the restaurant. Boden (www.bodenusa.com) has a nice selection of summer dresses in cute patterns that wash and pack really well without wrinkling. They're a bit on the pricey side, but I've had some of my Boden dresses for 5+ years that look just as nice now as they did when I bought them.

Yep, whatever you wear to the park is fine. Remember, those are guidelines, not requirements.
