The first song that came to me was Goodbye Earl by the Dixie Chicks. Perhaps Survivor by Destiny's Child may fit. What a great friend you are helping her through this! My prayers and sacks of pixie dust are hers!

These songs are *perfect* and just what I was looking for. I would never have thought of them on my own! Some of them I never heard of, but after I downloaded them, they fit so well.

No, she's not the poster mentioned above. She found out about all this when she noticed some suspicious charges to their account, and when she investigated, she learned that he had wiped out their entire savings to spend on the other woman. Then she found out that in their twelve years of marriage, the longest span that he had been faithful to her was 7 months. Then she found out that he had taken their two small daughters (4 & 9) to meet T.O.W. and her two kids at Chuck E. Cheese, then threatened them not to tell her. Then she found out...oh, there are so many things. He's really the scum of the earth. It's so hard for her. Not just the affair, but the fact that she's basically been lied to since they met, and that the man she thought she was married to simply does not exist.

Anyway, thanks again everyone. I'm going to put these CDs (the songs fit on two) in a basket with a bottle of wine, some bubble bath, and Godiva chocolates and leave it on her car seat tomorrow as a surprise.

That will be a fantastic surprise. If it weren't for the kids in the house (assuming they are with her as she is obviously the better parent) I'd suggest a punching bag with his pic on it. What a jerk. While I think it is better that your friend know and be able to get past him, why keep up the lies for so long? And if you're going to keep it up for so long why tell now? Anyway...I'm more of a Bond semi-fan. Some movies were great, some bore me. I still haven't seen the new one, but I have a crush on Daniel Craig, so it's already on my netflix queue.
