I currently have a ressie for POFQ with my folks from 3/18 through 3/23. I'm flying in the day before so I can get some grocery shopping done and to hopefully get the room decorated before they arrive. With all that said, I've discovered that I'd be spending $4 more by staying at POP on the 17th while having a 2-day ticket included compared to a DS hotel. No brainer right? I won't be adding onto the package I currently have as my parents don't arrive until the 18th and my arrival the day before is supposed to be a surprise as I'm decorating the room for their 50th anniversary. This will be a whole new package or room only ressie. I've checked UT and the ticket prices are slightly higher than I can get them as a package/ticket only.

My dilemma is this: do I stay at POP or at a DS hotel or suck it up and spend $100 more at POFQ? I've never stayed at POP so the idea of trying it for the Skyliner appeals to me but I thought it might be easier to switch rooms the following day by staying at POFQ. Any advice?

Folks arrive on the 18th around 6 pm so I have time to visit one of the parks that day and the 17th I arrive around noon, figured I'd be at DW around 1 pm, does that sound about right? I haven't been since 2016 and I gotta pack in a lot of fun in a small amount of time while running back and forth to get my folks.

I would personally stay at POFQ, because they’d likely be able to keep you in the same room. If you need time to decorate the room, you don’t want to have to move rooms on the day they arrive, especially because there’s no guarantee that your room will be ready before the designated check-in time (3 or 4pm).
