Okay...I could really use disers help! I've been debating this for months and need to make a decisions as our friends want to travel with us and need to book now for other reasons. Anyway, I can't decide to go Sept. 19-25 or Sept. 27-Oct. 3?? :confused3 I have the later week booked because the kids will only miss 4 days of kindergarten instead of 5 because they have a day of school off....but now with the F&WF I'm thinking of going the first week...but they would miss one more day of school...is it worth it? Please help! Thanks in advance!:)

I always think the later the better because of crowds. However, Food and Wine draws huge crowds to Epcot, especially on weekends, so much so that I actually would avoid that time.

I've never been to WDW in Sept/Oct so I can't help with that, but try not to worry about missing one extra day of kindergarten. After reading everything on these boards I was TERRIFIED about taking DD (my oldest) out of kindergarten for 7 days. Her teacher just laughed and said "It's ONLY kindergarten! Go to WDW and have a good time!" Yeah, K is definitely different than when we were kids, but it's also a year of the teacher needing to get all the kids to a similar level. In Sept they were definitely still working on the basics. Go at the time that's best for you and have fun!!!

I would not worry at all about one more day of kindergarten being missed but going the later week would give them one more week to settle in before missing a week which i think can be a little more of an issue with kindergarten children. It might also be a little cooler too. We have never done Septemper so i am no help with the crowds.sorry. Do not hesitate to take your child out for trips. We did through 8th grade and never regreted one day of it. We can not do that in high school and next trip will either have to be summer, holliday or shorter.:sad2:
