Hello everybody!

We will be in Orlando for 5 nights prior to taking a family reunion cruise in August. We already have WDW tix, but we have decided to do UO for all or part of those 5 days. Total tix price $320 +/-.

I just booked a frighteningly amazing deal at Cypress Pointe: 5 nights in a 3 BR for $304 including tax.

Our original plan was 2 nights at RPR ($183.20 plus tax per night AAA) and the last 3 nights at Cypress Pointe.

Cost diff between plan A (all CP) and plan B (RPR/CP) is as follows:
Plan A: $304 plus $50 parking = $360 +/-
Plan B: $425 for two nights at RPR, $250 for CP plus parking = $700 +/-

I'm sure you've guessed the question: Is FOTL for 3 days worth about $400, including the fact that we will have 5 in one room vs. 3 BR condo?????

Alternative (Plan C)---just get one night at RPR for 2 days of FOTL, then head to CP. $200 RP, $275 CP plus parking = $500 +/-

WHAT WOULD YOU DO!?!?!?!?!? Cost is a factor, and this is not a once in a lifetime trip. In the past, we've done UO with and without FOTL. If they still had free fast passes, I wouldn't sweat it, but we don't want to buy the express passes ($35 per person at that time). This is later in August, and park hours are 9-9 every day.

If you read this far: THANKS!!! Hope for some points of view on this dilemma.

I've done Plan C before and it worked great. We bought a week at resort with a kitchen. We bought a night a RPR and just took what we'd need for the night and next day and used the other as home base. Two days of FOTL is enough.

Thanks for the reply, MotherFletcher!

That seems to be the smartest thing, going for one night at RPR in the middle of the week.

Please tell....where did you get that great rate at Cypress Pointe....?

Please?

vellamint: I wish I could tell you! Unfortunately, that quirky rate came up for one day at onetravel.com, and Cypress Pointe is refusing to honor it. I had a feeling it might not work out, but I had to try!

Anyway, we are still planning on staying at CP, at the hotelkingdom.com rate of $93 per night for a 2 BR. I still consider that a good price!
