I am the sole planner for my family's grand gathering (we will be 12 ppl, 7 adults, 5 children ranging in age from 5 to 15). I am torn between two resorts for our 4 night stay. Which of these resorts would you choose?

Animal Kingdom Villas, Jambo House, Grand Villa or Boardwalk Grand Villa

A bit more info about this grand gathering... We are beginning this trip at BLT GV LV 3 nights and ending it at Disney's Vero Beach in a cottage for 3 nights.

Thanks in advance :)

What a wonderful vacation that's going to be!

I would pick AKV because of the uniqueness of the resort. Your guests will get the wonderful location of BLT, and the marvelous ocean views at VB. I would add Jambo's GV to the mix!

Personally, I would hesitate to add a third resort to the mix. Packing up and moving 12 people (no small feat) to a third resort means you will have another day of most likely being "homeless" since your next GV will probably be ready later in the afternoon. Why not add your 4 additional nights to your BLT GV and then move over to Vero?

We've done it before and really quite enjoy changing it up. All travellers coming have been with us on previous trips when we've changed then as well :)
Thanks for your input though.

I'd go with the AKV Jambo House Grand Villa. They are spectacular and the resort is unique.

The Jambo House GVs are great. I tried to talk my family into trying one but they wanted to be walking distance to Epcot and DHS, so we did BWV GV. They loved it. If your group wants a more relaxing 4 days, Jambo would be super. If they love doing parks and being in the middle of the action, BWV GV would be ideal.

So, do you own at each of these places? BWV only has seven GVs so it's hard to get them less than exactly 11 months out.

We had a GV at BW this past New Years. We think it's the best view on property. As Deb said unless you own at the BW might be difficult to score a GV. Good luck with your choices. I'd like to stay in every resort's GV.

I would definitely choose Jambo House over Boardwalk because it has a very different and exotic feel to it. Whenever I have stayed there, I have always felt like I have truly been far away because it's definitely not ordinary or like anywhere else.

Have a great trip! :)

No we don't own at BWV however every GV at every resort was actually available for our dates :cool1: Today is our 7 mos out window.

Soooo WE'RE BOOKED!!!!!! Just got off the phone with MS and got all 4 nights at BWV GV, which in the end, after a grand gathering vote, we all decided on proximity :)Thanks for everyone's input. It was much appreciated. :thumbsup2

Cool. Last October part of our group had a 2 story GV, which had spectacular views of Illuminations because the 2 story units are on floors 5 and 6. But I think the floor plan of the 1 bedroom units are even better. They are on 3rd and 4th floors. Whichever you get I know you will have a great time!

So, my vote is a little late, but I am super excited you picked BWV. With a large group there is so much nearby to do!
