I thought I had it all worked out, then I read some bad reviews of La Hacienda... SO - now I'm not so sure!

Here are our choices:
-La Hacienda @8:30 for Illuminations at 9:30 (first night of trip)
-Cape May Cafe dinner (last night of trip)
-Biergarten dinner (last night of trip)

Which would you pick and why? :confused3

THANKS!!! :flower3:

I voted Cape May.

I've never been to Cape May or La Hacienda but I have been to Biergarten.

Biergarten seems a bit rowdy, at least to me, for a final night. I would have been "going" all week and would want to really relax and enjoy the last day. Picking Cape May would just be a personal preference...probably because I've not visited the Beach Club, yet.

La Hacienda for sure! It's a great way to kick-off the magic of your trip! Great food too!!!

We tried La Hacienda last week and we absolutely loved it! DH, DD11 and I had a wonderful dinner and everyone we encountered there bent over backwards to make our meal enjoyable. We enjoyed the decor, the delicious food, the margaritas and the CMs. DD and I split the 3-mini-taco appetizer (Taquiza), then I had the pork tenderloin with mole sauce, as did DH, and DD had the fried shrimp tacos - everything was beautifully presented and very tasty and we were stuffed after dinner (without dessert).

We're definitely putting it on our must list for our next trip, whenever that may be.

I chose Hacienda; with the view, it's a perfect first night spot; and most of the reviews I've read have actually been quite favorable. We have tried the other two, and I know a lot of people love Biergarten, but I really didn't care much for it. Maybe my feeling was influenced by the fact that they lost our ressie and it took a very long time to be seated, but I found the food to be "meh"- although the pretzel bread was good (and we are not at all picky eaters, and have a German grandmother, so are used to german food). Our server was also less then steller, trying to get a drink refill was a major effort. The kids loved the music and danced some, but even they said they wouldn't mind misisng it next trip. The clambake can be pretty hit or miss; some nights are good, others not so much; and you don't get the great atmosphere at either of the alternatives that you do at Hacienda- I say go for it and stick to the original plan:love:

Another plus for doing dinner on the first night and not on the last is more time to squeeze in any rides we want to do one more time. :)

I'm excited to visit BC, too. We'll be there earlier in the week for the boys to do a pirate cruise.

That's what my plan was, but the bad reviews are making me worry. :guilty:

Really, really happy to read a good review!!!

Were the shrimp tacos spicy? I just read a review that said they were so spicy she couldn't eat them. I don't think they could get too spicy for DH, DS8 and me, but DS11 doesn't like the spice very much. I'm worried about what he will order.

Just as a precaution, while I've not been to La Hacienda yet, I understand there are 1-2 rooms that do not have a view of Illuminations. 1 room has no view at all, and 1 room has a very limited view. ...maybe someone can clarify that for you that has actually been.

Since we only have done 1 out of the 3 you listed and have never had an issue....I voted for Cape May the food is always good.....
