My best friend and I are planning a trip in early April (whee!!). We want to do something we've never done before, and since we've never tried one of the tours ... well, they look like lots of fun!

The ones that struck us as most interesting are the Keys to the Kingdom tour at the MK, Dolpins in Depth at Epcot, and the Backstage Safari at AK.

Can anyone recommend one over another?

Thanks!! :sunny:

and highly recommend it. However, if you do it expecting to spend a couple hours in the Utilidors, pick a different one. About 1/2 of the tour is spent "in the park" learning about the history of the MK, its architecture, and on a few attractions: Pirates, Mansion, Jungle Cruise. The other 1/2 is spent behind the scenes in a couple parade warehouses and other areas. There is some time in the famous Utilidors but not much and they really aren't that interesting. I will say, though, that the rest of the tour was great! Ours included lunch at Harbour House (sandwiches and chips) and a nice pin.
We will be doing the Segway Tour in EPCOT on Wednesday and we're really looking forward to that! :cool1:

Segway Tour at Epcot gets my vote. We had a blast.

I highly recommend the KTTK tour, Yes it's like Mijo said, but the backstage stuff we saw above Main St before entering the utilidors was amazing. Just the history lesson on Main st and the history on Pirates and HM were worth it too!

It's a lot of walking but well worth it and lunch at CHH was great too!

PS: We were on the tour Dec 7th that got stuck in Pirates (if anyone else here was on that tour). I will never forget that Donkey!

DH and I have done all 3 - and we've done Backstage Safari twice! Our ranking is:
1) Dolphins 2) Backstage Safari and 3) KTTK

Dolphins was such a highlight for DH (me too, but more so for him), it was really interesting and a lot of fun to be able to give signals and a rub down to a dolphin.

Backstage Safari we obviously loved too, can you tell we love animals;)

KTTK we were stuck in a much larger group and our guide was just okay - this probably had something to do with why we didn't like it as much as the others. Still a good tour, but we liked learning about the animals better.

The other one I'd suggest looking into is Aqua Seas - that was really something too, we'd never gone snorkeling before and it was just so much fun to see all of the fish and the turtle and the people.

HTH:)

There are also Wild by Design at AK, The Undiscovered Future World at Epcot and of course Magic Behind the Steam Trains. There certainly is a tour for everyone's likes and passions.
I am doing the three mentioned tours in February.

That is if you like Dolphins. I did not know that I did until I went on the tour so I was skeptical at first but it remains my best favorite tour. We also did KTTK and World Showcase. KTTK was the 2nd best but we were not expecting it to be as long as it was. World Showcase was horrible. I did not like our tour guide at all. He was a bit Xenophobic and Evangelical for my tastes. We ditched the tour and had lunch in Morrocco.

I would recommend kttk too. I thought is well well worth the money and would love to do it again. But My Dh said it kinda ruin the magic for him when he learn how alot of things were done. As for me it just made it more magical. It is amazing how often people get stuck on the Pirates ride. We got stuck for about 10 minutes right at the beginning. My mind will fover be scarred with the same saying over and over and voer and over and over (you get my point) of the saying dead men tell no tales. imagine hearing that for 10 minutes straight starring at the skeleton. Was so glad we finally got going.

Belle1997,

We got stuck near the place where the women are chasing the pirates and I wish it was only for 10 minutes. The CM's actually had to shut off the pumps to get us unstuck and after we were floating free, we just drifted into the next scene where you had the three pirates and the donkey. We sat there for 5-10 minutes with just the donkey braying.

Our inside joke is to go he-haw as we pass the donkey now.

We certinally got a new perspective on POTC.
