UUGGHH!! I just called to book with AP and she told me that she could not guarantee a balcony room until arrival!! I have always had a balcony room. Is there any way to guarantee a balcony?!! I know that I can't use my Platinum status with Ap, but I want a balcony!! I was going to book coutyard and upgrade to bay view with my Loews program but they are all booked. I need to book in a hurry!! Any help?

I don't believe there is a way to guarantee a balcony.

Since most 5th floor rooms have a balcomy...can I request 5th floor??!! Maybe that could help secure a balcony!

That's the key - request vs. guarantee. A guaranteed balcony is highly, highly unlikely. Like Sean Connery, I won't say never.:lmao:

How have you always gotten a balcony in the past??

My very first stay I was not put into a balcony room. I asked if there were any available (they were all booked) and the receptionist told me that she could not guarantee anything, but that if a room with a balcony were to come available that I could change rooms. I didn't think another thing about it and the next morning had a vm on the phone (I don't remember if I was down getting breakfast or where I was when I missed the call) saying that a balcony room was being checked outof that day and to call the desk if I was interested in switching. So I called (of course said yes!) and asked if I would need to come back at a certain time to switch, and she said for me to get all of our things together and to go enjoy the park and that they would change rooms for me while I was having fun at the park.I was flabbergasted by the customer service!! So we spent the first night in a regular bay view and the rest of our trip in bay view with a balcony.

I guess I've just been lucky with the rest of my trips by asking if there were a balcony room available and being able to squeeze into one. I'm not sure.

I have always been told that they can't guarantee a balcony but could put in a request for one, so maybe the requests really work!

The reason I thought I may could confirm a balcony this time is because at my last trip (I don't remember the exact circumstances or how it was brought up) we were in conversation with some sort of manager and she said that they always try to accomodate Loews First members in any way possible and that I should've been able to confirm the room that I wanted. But I've always been told that you can't confirm a balcony regardless, so maybe she was just spouting off at the mouth and trying to make me feel special.

But I thought if there were any way of guaranteeing a balcony room that you guys would know how to do it because you are all so much more knowledgeable than me on how everything works. I guess I will just book and cross my fingers!!

Good to know. We have lots of family and friends who stay PBH who are also Loews members, and we will be staying at PBH in May. I'll tell everyone I know who is staying there of your experience with them accommodating requests for loews members. Hopefully, none of them will be staying the same time you are though. :thumbsup2
