My family and I were at Disneyland this past weekend and stayed at the Candy Cane. My DD(10) met another girl at the pool during our afternoon break on Sunday. They became quick friends and exchanged addresses to become penpals. Well, the maid threw away the piece of paper with the address on it and my DD is devasted. I have never seen her so down. The girl's name was Brandy and she lived in Santa Rosa, CA.

Hopefully, her mom is a member of the DIS and see's this.

Also, Miles2go it was nice to finally meet someone from the DIS at the park.

That is so sad. I hope that the other girl gets a letter to your DD. If her family does not come on the DIS maybe someone who know's her will contact her for you. I hope that everything will work out.

You could call the hotel and ask them if they have an address on file for her and if so, they might be willing to forward a letter to them for you.

Post another request with the subject line something like "your daughters name- looking for Brandy!" Also, I ageee with contacting the hotel. Make sure they nderstand you dont want the address given to you, that would freak them out. Ask for a manager, not the front desk person, too... and do it soon. They might not be able to help in a few weeks.... I hope you find her. Poor girls....

Oh, that blows!!!
I'm sorry. It's so nice to make new friends, at any age. You never know where you will meet that one friend that will stick by you your whole life.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will call the hotel today and see if they might be able to help. Unfortunately, I did not get the mom's name. My BF had taken my daughter to the pool while I rested in the room.

If you are going to contact the hotel try and give them as much information as possible. Like what state she lived in..that would help. I am so hyper right now sorry

If you can get through to the manager ask if you mail a letter to him/her then would he kindly forward the enclosed letter to the little girl's family. I would hope the manager wouldn't give out any information on guests to someone but he might forward a letter on for you.
