I travel to WDW from the state of VT every other year and have always gone through a travel agent which I am finding is about the same price as the Disney site. We are planning a trip April 2010 and would be interested in learning about any discount codes.
Thanks

Some of the most recent discounts have been advertised on TV and in newspapers - the buy 4 get 3 free and the current Free dining offer for Aug - Oct. You can find historical as well as current offers on Mousesavers.com. This site has current offers as well. There are discounts at times for random people (those that have special pin codes just for them, no rhyme or reason as to who gets them but usually those that do receive them have been to WDW before, WDW site visitors that sign on or are Disney Visa holders) Disney Visa also offers discounts at times. Last fall they had free dining from Sept 28 through Dec 20 with some of the dates not included. AP holders and FL residents as well as the general public have discount room offers as well and the current ones are on WDW site. Hope this helps.

Welcome to the Disboards Young Family! What part of Vermont are you from? My hubby is from Sharon, VT area with family members still living there. We travel up there every summer.

Anyways, on to the discussion of pin codes. There's no true rhyme or reason to how to get the much sought after Pin Codes. The CM I spoke with said names, addresses, phone numbers, emails, etc that receive the pin codes are randomly drawn. Could be drawn from a pool of certain states, how many times you've been, when the last time you traveled, etc. I do know that last year we had booked 2 rooms...one for the children with my oldest daughter as the lead person for their room and one for us adults. Since we placed my daughter as the lead person this would have been her first "official" visit as being an adult with the reservation in her name. Since then she has received 5 different pin codes within just a few short months. They had my son's birth date incorrect...they had him down as a paying adult when he's only 13. Since then he has received 2 pin codes in his name.

Be sure to log onto Disney's website and register to have emails and newsletters to be mailed to you. While logged on start planning a vacation and hit save quote. This has generated some pin codes to be mailed. Also requesting a planning DVD and maps to be mailed has generated pin codes as well.

Always check this site as well as www.wdwinfo.com, www.mousesavers.com and www.allearsnet.com for information on release dates of any discounts. Be sure to sign up for newsletters from each site to be emailed to you as well!

AAA members, Annual Passholders, AARP members, Disney Visa Card members, Military, etc... can receive discounts at different times of the year.

Once again, welcome to the Disboards! You'll find loads of information here!

We are a family of four that live in Jericho VT about 6 miles from the base of Mount Mansfield and 13 miles from Burlington. Thanks for the information the Disboards have really opened my eyes to possibilities. We are true Disney fans from the north and I think that is why the CBR is our favorite. Vermont is not real tropical. HA:)

I love Burlington! CBR is our favorite moderate resort as well! It's like having a vacation within a vacation! :)

Keep an eye here on the codes and rates boards. As it gets closer to April 2010 someone is likely to post a "waiting on Spring 2010 codes" post. Which people will update with rumors and information as it becomes available. Suscribe to the post so you can always find it in your User CP.

I'm not sure when AAA discounts will become available for spring 2010 but generally Disney discounts for that time period won't show up until the end of 2009 to sometime in the first couple of months in 2010.

We are probably going to book our airlines as soon as they become available for April, but we will wait until November or December to book our Disney package. I will check with AAA as well. Thanks for everyones feedback!:yay:
