Please Help! Getting nervous about packing everything!

Well, we went in Jan. and I think the weather is similar to Dec. Basically, be prepared for a little bit of everything. It does get cold at night--I mean cold! We needed sweatshirts, medium weight jackets, gloves, and hats. Of course, long pants and long sleeved shirts. However, during the day the temperature would be mild, maybe 60-70's, so lighter clothing is needed. I found it best to dress light and take along sweat shirts, jackets, etc. My DH didn't like lugging all the extra stuff around, but was glad to have it when the weather turned cooler. If not, we would have had to leave the parks early due to the weather. But, then again, its unpredictable, so take along some shorts, short sleeved tops, and a swim suit, just in case. Also, take along rain gear. It didn't rain during our trip except for the last day, but we were glad to have rain ponchos. Also, take two pair of shoes for everyone. Nothings worse than putting on a pair of wet shoes the next day! It seems like a lot of stuff, and it is, but better to be prepared than have a trip ruined because you didn't have the right stuff. BTW, I don't bother with nightclothes. Everyone just uses a large tee shirt or sweat shirt, which can double as extra clothing.

They have nice laundry rooms at CBR. I've given up on getting the familly to pack everything and am looking forward to doing a couple of loads.

I pack for half as many days as I am going (ie-if I am going for 10 days, I pack 5 outfits). Try to get all you clothes so they sort of match. Generally I bring white shorts, khaki shorts, denim shorts, and a denim "skort" which can be casual or a little dressier. All of the tops I bring pretty much go with all of the bottoms, since the bottoms are pretty neutral. I also bring 1 pair of pants, either khaki or black, 2 prs of sandals (black and beige), 2 bathing suits, a bathing suit cover-up, rubber sandals for the pool, 5 underwear sets(and underwear is a place where you can cut a little if necessary...it can be washed out in your room and hung to dry in the bathroom, so for a 10 day trip you could feasibly bring 3 or 4 sets of underwear. Also a sweater or light jacket.

I don't wear sneakers...don't find them comfortable, but my DH does, so I make him wear them and I pack his boat shoes...he's got big feet so his sneakers take up more room...boat shoes are kind of squashable.

I'd agree with the person who said take more care with your toiletries and health-related stuff. Clothes you can buy at WDW if you need to. The health-related stuff is a little harder to find.

THanks everyone for your help! I lived in Boca for awhile, so I'm used to the drastic temp. changes at night, but had heard that Orlando was even more erratic. Thanks again! :D
