PLEASE HELP... Everything is booked!!

We just purchased our second trip .. November 22-30. I am sooo upset. I called Dining... it is horrible trying to get in. Thanksgiving is booked solid (at Liberty Tree Tavern) and I couldn't get in to Chef Mickey's for my son's birthday on the 26th until 9:20pm... We couldn't even get in to Tusker House or Chef Mickey's for breakfast for our entire trip. Someone PLEASE TELL ME that if I call everyday an openings will come open during the week.

I am so sad.

Yes, if you call everyday, especially in the morning, you will be able to find some better times, places to eat. Just keep trying!

2) It is still breakfast time
3) Lots of folks want LTT.
4) They are ending characters, so people want meals before this happens.
5) Based upon the dates you are going, keep calling and hoping.
6) Slim odds, but you never know.

NOTE: BTW, Thanksgiving Week is the second busiest week of the year.

We were there a few year ago for Thanksgiving. We had trouble finding ressies for lots of restaurants but as the trip got closer we were able to book some great ones. Try to be flexible with times...ask for early or late seating. If you are a big party say it is ok to be seperate. We were a party of 9 this trip and we were only seperate once and it was for a Grand Gathering....go figure. We ended up eating at The Land for Thanksgiving. It was not on my top 10 list but it was wonderful. Most of the restaurants have a different menu that includes traditional Thanksgiving favorites. We just got back yesterday and we were able to get some great ressies while we were there. We have made APs before we left but we were able to get Ohana and 50 Prime Time just by calling and being flexible. We ate one meal at 4:30 and one at 9:30....just had snacks to keep the kids happy. Good Luck!!!! If you can't get Chef Mickey's The Crystal Palace is a very nice character breakfast and they do a nice job celebrating birthdays (Glitter and streamers on the table, cupcake and candle). They also do a parade with waving napkins.....just a thought.

Dont give up! Keep calling but go ahead and come up with plan B.. Book something else that you will enjoy, maybe even try something new! If 9:20 is too late what about Garden Grill? Just dont let it ruin your trip!

The OP said it was 9:20pm, not am.

I know its frustrating OP, it seems like you have to book your trip a year in advance in order to call right away and get ADRs. I would definitely keep trying, especially these next couple of months, there will always be people who cancel their trips or ADRs for whatever reason. Call in the morning every morning, and I'm sure you will get some ADRs that you want. You may not get everything you want since it is a very busy time of the year, but don't give up all hope yet. Also, be prepared to be flexible and be willing to take times to eat earlier or later than you're used to. Good luck!

Keep trying to snag a cancellation, but you will probably need to start thinking of other restaurants you might want to try booking.

It sounds like are trying for the character meals during the busiest week so I would keep calling as others suggested. I don't know if it interests you but I do know Boma had openings on the 29th and 30th! We had our pick of times for both nights.

I have always had great, last minute luck with Trails End. I know it's not a character meal but the prices and food were good enough for us.

I actually called today to add and cancel a few adrs and got exactly the times and everything that I wanted. We are also going Thanksgiving week. I was able to add 1900 Park Faire and they had several choices of times for the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Try that one. I also got Mama Melrose for 4:45 at HS the day after Thanksgiving. Maybe these are not popular choices or something. I didn't try to change anything for Thanksgiving day though. Maybe that is why I was lucky. I am wishing you lots of luck! I would just keep calling. I hope a diser was able to snag my cancellations if they needed them. I posted them on the cancel board for November.
