Dishwasher question...

The d/w is not draining. It's trying I can hear a little water, but it sounds plugged. What do I do to check it? There is a drain cover looking piece and I can't SEE anything "covering" it. Does all the water go through the "drain cover" or the back of it or ??

Whats weird is I rinse my dishes before loading them. I am guessing when J loaded the d/w perhaps he missed something and it got clogged?

Helppppppp!!! :D

there should be a filter under the lower rack ussually around the base of the water inlet tower, carefully disassemble that area andf i bet you find a clog there, we vacuum ours out with a wet dry vac, but you can clean it with rags too:), if not there, try removing hte drain hose from under t he sink, should be a hose clamp holding it in place,, get a shop vac and try vacumming that out :)

Seriously... :( Take out the whole piece under... would it be plastic? Shoot.

Do they generally pop off or?? There is water so I can't see how it comes off.

take out the rack, the water tower should have a release button or lever, and then there should be a drain cover that will come off. if you have owners manual it will show exactly where the clean out is at:)

I don't have anything... we rent... :/

No offence but it is a cheap cheaaaap dishwasher LOL.

we only payed 120 bucks for ours 2 yeras ago,, basic monthly cleaning has kept it working like new:) one adavantage of being home repair service owner:):)

Thanks!! Checking it out. I can bail out the water...

We had a similar problem...turned out there is a "float" inside that senses what level the water is at or something. A spoon was caught underneath it so it wasn't draining properly. It's worth a shot! Good luck!

I think the landlord is going to have to come in. The trap is bolted down... :( The floater thing looked fine.

PLUS I was looking @ the a/c unit (many ppl told me a filter needs to be changed) and that also has weird bolts... soooo
