Please help DD find a beach in the Pensacola area

I haven't been able to get any information from Tripadvisor or other boards so I hope someone here can help us out! My daughter is planning a day trip to the Gulf Shores/Pensacola area and needs to find a nice public beach. They're looking for a pretty beach with parking nearby and some sort of shower/changing facilities. They won't be able to drive any further east than Pensacola. Thanks so much!

Pensacola Beach is a public beach with showers, bathroom facilities. It is a toll road to get to the beach area, which also includes restaurants, hotels and shopping. Further down the coast are a number of public beach accesses. Navarre Beach, Fort Walton Beach and on into Destin. Okaloosa Island- between Fort Walton Beach and Destin- has several public beach accesses with parking, and bathroom facilities. They are wedged in between hotel/ condominium buildings. Hope this helps
