I am going with about 20 Girl Scouts in late October (for 2 days) and the Leaders want to create a Scavenger Hunt :magnify: for the girls to do.

A few rules we are trying to keep . . .:)

1. FREE (no needing to "purchase" any items)
2. No begging from strangers (Cast Members are not "Strangers") for items.
3. No Running, follow the Park Rules and use your manners (remember WE are Girl Scouts)

We will do our best to make sure each group has a digital camera with them so that they can provide "proof". :thumbsup2

Thanks for ALL the great suggestions . . .

Oh what fun! :goodvibes

There are lots of pictures you can ask for... lots of hidden mickeys to find. I'm trying to think of "stuff" they can actually gather... There are the Disney napkins, cast members often give out stickers, they aren't actual strangers, are they? ;) I think after the parade there is confetti in the shape of little mickey heads all over the streets. Oh! - If they see the Playhouse Disney Show at DCA, there are opportunities to get paper streamers and paper leaves! And how can we forget signatures and perhaps a picture with a hard to find character!!!

This sounds like so much fun, I want to play!!! Please be sure to post your final "Hunt" list!!! :goodvibes

That does sound fun! Definately include some hidden mickeys. Go to the hidden mickey website to get ideas.

Every land has its own trash can style. You can pick a land and say they need a picture of one from there. Say, Frontierland, for example. Also many bathrooms have different pictures. They could take a picture of a certain woman bathroom sign. Like Tomorrowland.

Oh, you could also give a list of characters that they have to find. Could be in person, could be sign or a drawing of it somewhere in the park.

Also, scavenger groups tend to run, better remind them no running. :)

Here is a trickey one. Find a weathervane shaped like a ship. (It is on the HM). Or have your picture taken with pirate's treasure. (There is a big photo op on the island).

I want to play too! :lovestruc

Since the girl scout founder is Juliette Low, how about asking them to take a picture of a "L", "O" and "W" (each from a different attraction).

They can get a Disneyland maP in different languages.
At princess fantasy fair they can make a crown for free.
Does autopia still give out the driver's license cards?

Find the pin in the ground that marks the center of the original park.
Pic of the backside of water.
If you ask a cast member as you disembark Jungle Cruise they will give a very cool map of the ride.
Pic of a live animal, bird or cat.
FYI- I think the driver's licenses cost $.

We did get those Autotopia licenses in 2008 but not 2009 -- maybe they were just out? Also, I think there is big debate about the center ground marker not really ever marking the center of the park. There is a thread somewhere that talks about it.

How about...

Get the recipe for a food served in one of the Park's restaurants (ask a server at the restaurant, or at City Hall; they have recipe cards for alot of things!)?

A candy bag with Goofy on it (these can be forund at the candy shops)?

A fortune card from Esmeralda? (in the Penny Arcade...isn't free, but costs under $1 & is a pretty cool souvenir...)

Also, I think there is big debate about the center ground marker not really ever marking the center of the park.

You are right, it most likely never marked the center of the park. Apparently cast members have perpetuated this idea. It may mark the center line of Main St, but no one seems to actually know.

Although, you're suppose to return these, you can have them bring back a pair of 3D glasses from the TSM ride or the 3D shows. They can be returned later, scouts honor.

How about a picture of a attraction waiting time that is 40 minutes or over.

WOW! I knew this was the right place for this topic.
Thanks to all who have made suggestions.
I am also seeking ways to put the Scavenger Hunt List into a booklet or something easy for the girls to carry around the park.
Any thoughts? :confused3
