Ok, another MWD first timer issue... Which park to visit when? I printed out EasyWDW calendar and I also looked at UnderCoverTourist's page.

July 18th: HS AK MK (green) | EP (red with PM extra hours) UnderCoverTourist recommends AK best and neutral on the rest

July 19th: EP AK MK | HS (red with AM extra hours) and UCT recommends AK (again) and neutral on rest

July 20th: Rest day for us

July 21st: EP | and everything else is red with AK extra hours in the AM and HS with extra hours in the PM UCT only doesn't recommend EP and HS

July 22nd: AK MK HS | EP (red with PM extra hours) and UCT also said no to EP, recommends AK and neutral on the rest

I don't have access to touringplans. I am contemplating on becoming a member at the moment. But I reckon the info wouldn't be too different.

Anyhow, we're staying on-site and we have park-hopper. We only have 4 day tickets. A few people, friends who have gone, said to spend 2 days in MK, one day in HS and do AK in the am and EP in the pm. Or do HS one day, AK in the am + MK in the pm, EP in the am + MK in the pm and a one day MK.

I have no idea what's best for our family. I have a sister, who just wants to spend time with her nieces and (most fabulous) sister and get a few rides in. I really don't care for theme parks and rides. I just want to try out the Disney food. Our girls are 5 (38" short) and 9-yrs-old (50" tall). So baby girls will only be able to do the kiddie rides and whatever is princess-y. She loves animals too. Older dd has only been on a log ride. So she'll most likely want to try a big girl ride. She's limited a bit on choices I think but there are enough for her choose from. She LOVES movie making. We went to Harry Potter Studio (the one near London) and just loved it. So I am guessing she'll want to see lots of behind the scene stuff at HS -- is that what this place is?

I realize the weather is going to be hot with possible wet afternoons and I know it'll be packed. I don't want to hit all the hot spots in four days. I just want to do as many things that will make the girls' week magical and memorable.

So, based on the info, am I correct to do the following:

Friday the 18th: MK (and I do have dinner at Ohana for 8:30p)
Saturday: HS for dd1 and my sister and I am taking dd2 to Akershus for breakfast at 8a and then ?? I'll probably fast pass a few kiddie stuff at HS for after breakfast. Hit those and watch some shows? Meet characters -- whoever we bump into?
Sunday: Off day!! Sleep in, hit the pool, check out the resorts (I want to see the deluxe ones) and dinner at BOMA. I think it's 7:30p.
Monday: AK in the morning and EP in the afternoon
Tuesday: MK

Thank you!!!

My family and I visit WDW quite frequently and for the most part I think your plan is pretty good. My family never takes an off day, but you also have younger kids. My youngest brother is 8, so we're always go go go.

Another quick thing, WDW isn't just a theme park rides, it's more about the experience and details in everything they do and make. It's not like a Six Flags or something, it will change your life:thumbsup2

If your daughters love animals, then be SURE to do the Kilimanjaro Safari. They will love it! And believe it or not, the tallest height requirement at WDW is 48", so your 9 year old would be able to do everything and I highly recommend trying to do that. And HS isn't all behind the scenes stuff. The Backlot Tour attraction is that sort of stuff, but the rest is just like movies and Hollywood things, such as attractions based off movies, TV shows, etc. Be sure to hit the Beauty and the Beast show, that's one of my favorites! Especially if your girls like princesses. Also be sure to check out the Princess Fairytale Hall at MK

Great choices for food! Ohana is AMAZING. :thumbsup2

Hope this helps! :)

Thank you for checking and recommending!!! We will start routing pretty soon! :) And yes, maybe Disney will change me ;)
