please help-can you upgrade tickets??

I just bought 4 day hopper plus tickets from hotwire club. we should just buy AP because we go several times a year.
How much are AP'S before and now with the new system and will I be able to upgrade since I bought them with hotwire.
Where would I have to go to do it?

Yes, if it is unused you may upgrade it to a Premium Annual. Anything that includes plusses have to be upgraded to another ticket that would also include the use of water parks/PI. If you have used it, they can see how much value is left on the ticket and use that amount toward the purchase of a Premium Annual Pass.

Not correct. Any unused PHP can be upgraded to a regular AP or a PAP.

If a plus on the PHP is used, it depends on when the upgrade is being done as to what they can get. Upgrading within 7 days of first use and having used one or more plus options would only allow an upgrade to a PAP.

After that 7 day window, they cannot upgrade. They can only apply the dollar value of the unused major park admissions towards a new AP or PAP.

<b>lomillerin:</b> You can still upgrade that ticket even though it came from Hotwire. You will only receive the wholesale value of the ticket though, not what you paid for it. Any Guest Relations location at the theme parks or DTD can do this for you.

I have 2 park hopper tickets with 3 days left on each. There are no pluses on these tickets. It has been more than a month since the first day I used them. I want to upgrade them to 2 APs, not premium, just regular. Can I do this?

Also, can I get the new DVC discount?

How is the cost of the AP figured after applying the old tickets? How much credit do you get?

If the old ticket is used: When you do the upgrade within 7 days of first use you can apply the entire amount of the old ticket (wholesale value in your case) towards the price of the new one. The AP would then be backdated to the date that the old ticket was first used.

If the ticket is unused, it can be done prior to using it at all. The credit would be the same as above but the AP would start the day you do the upgrade. The 7 day window only comes into play if the ticket has been used.

Guest Relations would have to scan the Hotwire ticket to tell you how much credit it would be worth.

Guest Relations would have to scan your old tickets to tell you their exact value.

You can approximate it by dividing the the number of park days the original ticket had into the number of unused days left. So if it was originally a 5 day PH and you have 3 days left, you'll have about 3/5's or 60% of what you originally paid for it as a credit.

Must I get the premium annual or can I just get the regular annual?
