I have a lot of questions...Just lucked into a sitter so we can go somewhere Veteran's Day weekend, married 20 years on Nov 10th. Went to WDW on honeymoon in '85! Couldn't find any reasonably priced or timely trips from Boston, airfare anywhere is crazy. Even to spend a weekend in NYC would be complicated and expensive. Bermuda out of the question, the flights are crazy with day long layovers, one direct flight out of Boston, now full, for $1900!
So, I got the idea for Disney, even though we were just there in August.
Booked nonstop on Jet Blue for $900 (OUCH) Disney, AAA, Expedia etc show NO availability anywhere on property. I booked a room at POP for 3 nights on Jet Blue website, and am wondering if it is REAL?! They charged my credit card. Could it be a glitch? I have a confirmation number. Would like to change it to a MYW package, but they say they only do room only. Disney has no way to look up this reservation. Bounced around between POP front desk, WDW Travel, and Magical Express 866 number, and no one has any idea how to reserve Magical Express for us??!!
I don't know where to go next, they say keep trying WDW travel for a cancellation, to be able to book the package but is this really likely?
We've always gone in the summer, and are used to crowds, but what realistically are the crowds going to be like? Is every room really taken, or does Disney just not offer as many rooms during this "regular season"
I know with the recent free dining that it's been crowded this fall, but am I crazy for trying to squeeze this in? Any suggestions or advice?
Thanks to you all for any help! :confused3

Ok, I was too nervous about keeping the Jet Blue Hotel reservation, I did not want to go and have Disney tell me it was overbooked and send me offsite, so I called back and cajoled and suggested to the Cast Member things I learned on the DIS,... room only one night, ...trying each night separately etc, and it worked! OK I'm crazy, the only thing available was 1 night room only at ALL Stars and 2 nights at VWL ($440 a night EEEK), but it is booked, confirmed, Magical express and tickets all set and includes dining! Hey, isn't 20 years a reason to celebrate and forget about the cost??!! If I average out the cost per month married, it is only $10 a month. The 3 day weekend is going to cost us more than our 5 night honeymoon in WDW offsite, but we don't get many opportunities to get away! My sister is the greatest for taking the kids! Actually the Disney portion is not the part that seems too expensive to me, it is the killer airfare, and Jet Blue is half the price of all others! :bounce: :goodvibes

You have picked a crazy weekend. This is usually when we go so we see the crowds for the weekend and then they tend to die down. Remember that you are at Disney so that is a bonus but there is a crowd. This is the end of Food & Wine Festival so Epcot is crazy, Veteran's Day weekend so MK is busy, Super Soap Festival so MGM is crazy and also Festival of the Masters so DTD is crazy. They are probably honest in saying all the rooms are booked. It can be done but remember to pack your patience!

guess it is too late now, you have the reservations for the airline. I am doing a three day over thanksgiving so I guess we both are little insane, lol

I know a lot of folks from here (Il) and NY head to WDW then as kids are out of school for about a week...it's actually nicknamed "Jersey Week". I think you would need to try and set up MYW as a seperate ressie, and then cancel your room at POP booked thry JetBlue, if you can. If not, go and enjoy your stay, and forget about the MYW deal.
Happy Anniversary, I am actually in the beginning planning stages for us to go to WDW for our 20th this summer...only we'll have the kids with us!

We were gonna spend Nov 10-14 in Disney..I even made reservations...until I realized and read all the events going on over there!!! Forget it!!!!

I wondered why it was so difficult to get a room that weekend too!!

But it sounds like a special time for you...and after all....Disney is ALWAYS crowded...so maybe just maybe you won't be able to tell the difference?? :confused3

It's nice and warm here anyways!! It would be a nice trip for you!!

Thanks for your replies and good wishes, Disney really holds a special place in our hearts, however it will be weird to be there without kids! I am still nervous that this Jet Blue Travel Hotel reservation will turn out to be a ghost...Does anyone know when your name/reservations get in the Disney computer when you book third party?

Slightly off topic, but wanted to say Congratulations! My DH and I will be married 15 years on the 10th :lovestruc ...what a coincidence

Congrats to you too 3for me! We had a unusually beautiful warm day in New England that day, it hit 70! Then we were off to see the mouse!
