Please help a non-coffee drinker pick out coffee for Keurig

I'm not much of a coffee drinker but I found a good deal on a Keurig yesterday and figured it would be good for guests to use when they visit. Since I don't drink much coffee, I need recommendations on which Keurig coffees to purchase. What would be a good coffee that would appeal to most people? Are there any that are horrible?

Thanks

If you are totally set on the pre-packaged K-cups, I can't help you. But here's a thought. We bought an accessory (My K-Cup) and use regular ground coffee in our Keurig. You might consider doing this and just keeping some store brand coffee on hand. For us, this is a cheaper option because we drink a lot of coffee. We are Tim Horton's coffee addicts and since moving to Florida, we've had to have friends and family in Ohio buy it and ship it to us down here.

In your situation, I would probably buy a sampler pack with a few different varieties in it so that my guests could have several choices.

I took a quick look at Amazon.com, and I think this one looks pretty good.
http://www.amazon.com/Keurig-Single...58/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1291413734&sr=8-11 It contains:

* A collection of Keurig's most popular coffee varieties
* 12 Green Mountain's Coffee Nantucket Blend
* 12 Tully's French Roast
* 12 Newman's Own Organics Newman's Special Blend
* 12 Caribou Coffee Caribou Blend

Don't forget to find out if they're decaf drinkers! There are K-cups that are decaf (also some that are half-caf). I second the "My K cup" suggestion -- that's a quick-and-easy way (and cheap!) way to get coffee in ya!

Are you interested in regular blends, flavored or extra bold?

For a really good all-around regular coffee most people really like Nantucket blend. Also, Caribou is really good. If you like flavored, I would go with something basic like a French Vanilla.

If you are interested in an extra bold blend, Newman's Own Extra Bold is really good. Also, as the previous poster said, you can always get a variety box.

I am the (self-appointed) Keurig queen and have probably close to 300 K-cups in my cabinet as we speak. I think I have tried just about every flavor and can give you some other recommendations if you are interested.

Just to let you know, even if you aren't much of a coffee drinker yourself, Keurig also sells teas and hot chocolate flavors. However, I think the teas are expensive for what they are, so I just put a tea bag in the My K-cup filter and brew plain water through it. It works great!

A great website for ordering online is www.coffeegiant.com. Free shipping with no minimum purchase and if you sign up for emails they send you specials just about every day. The boxes you buy online usually have 24 k-cups in them, the ones you buy at Kohl's or Bed Bath & Beyond generally have only 18 k-cups. So although the ones online are around $10-$11, you get more in them.

Any questions, let me know!

My fav is the Newman's Own extra bold. I buy it at costco in a big box of 80 k-cups for about $30. I love it but it might be a little too bold for anyone that doesn't like strong coffee. My dad is a big coffee drinker but it is little too much for him.

I am lost now too as Green Mountain just discontinued my favorite flavor...Heifer Hope Blend...what am I going to do now???
