Please help--2 different responces from Disney reservations

Hi I need some help dealing with Disney reservation specialists. I received a pass code in the mail yesterday; it was for a reduced rate on room only. So I called the Disney reservation number 2 times for information and each person said something different!

Person 1 gave me a price for my trip, using the code with basic meal plan and tickets as I expected.

Person 2 said that my offer was good on room only, gave me room rate and then said I would not be eligible for food plan if I used my code??? She said I would need to buy tickets to the park separately and she would only give me the price for the room only. She insisted that the first rep was wrong and should not have priced a package with meal plan for me adn it was not available to me by purchasing the room with my code.

Now I realize I only get the discount on room but can’t I just play the regular price for the rest and still get the meal plan?

Maybe you should accept the first CMs quote, but it is probably too late. They may have actually given it to you had you booked at that moment. If the code says it is for room only, it probably is, but who knows? Maybe you could call back again and see what the CM says. Good luck!!!
 
Usually there is one 3 digit code attached to a pin code for room only and one for a package.

I would call back again and tell the CM that you received a postcard and would like to apply the code to a package.

My Mom received a code through the mail and I booked her a Sept. trip this evening. The CM I spoke with said it was a room only, but that he was able to use another code to use it with a package including tickets. It sounded like he was used to doing this - he knew exactly how to do it with no hesitation - he even helped me with a problem I had with our upcoming Sept trip - I would pay extra to get a great CM like him every time. I will go back and look at her quotes again and make sure it is really 40% off the room and tickets. In the meantime, you should try calling back and getting someone more helpful. We know that CM's are not created equal!

Same thing happened to me. I was able to book a room and tickets package with the 40% offer. Call back - they should be able to go ahead with a package for you.
 
Agree w/ pp... Keep calling, this happened to me as well. Called this evening and spoke w/ a great CM... she said that everything was included where as when I called the first time the CM told me that there was nothing he could do for me!

Hope you get the response that you are looking for... Dont give up and try again. :surfweb:
