6/8 – Leaving WDW in the afternoon

Your choices look good, but I think you're going to be spending A LOT of time in or traveling to ADR's with such young kids. We love 'Ohana for breakfast! Have fun!!

6/6- I would recommend changing Sci-Fi to lunch, unless you ahve been there before and love the place. Our dinner experience there was lousy, but all the lunch/burger meals seem to get good reviews. Also, 50s PTC was very good. The food was delicious and the CMs were fun (they were able to read our mood and backed off at first until we got some food and were feeling better). Hs also is home to Mama Melrose's...have not been there.

6/8- We have eaten dinner at CR and it was very good!!!

MK- Tony's Town Square get mixed reviews, but we enjoyed it on Chrsitmas Day for lunch and our CM gave fabulous service. There is also Liberty Tree Tavern. We had dinner there when it was a character meal. The food was comfort, homestyle TS.

We enjoy Rainforest Cafe too! They are located at DTD and AK (no admission needed)

6/1 – Traveling & arriving early afternoon
Hanging out @ DTD
Dinner @ Planet Hollywood
Haven't been here, but I wouldn't expect much. I think there are much better places for food at DTD than here.

6/2 - Magic Kingdom day
Breakfast @ Crystal Palace (hoping for 1st ressie of the day) LOVE Crystal Palace for breakfast, especially the early ADR. Walking down Main Street when it's empty is worth it!
Lunch - ? Any ideas?? If you need TS, I'd try the Plaza Restaurant. Great sandwiches and it wouldn't be as heavy as some of the other TS places.
Dinner @ Whispering Canyon We've never had a bad dinner here. We always enjoy the skillet. It is loud and fun!

6/3 – Animal Kingdom Day
Breakfast @ Tusker House
Lunch @ Tusker House (for Nemo package) – is this too much of the same place in one day? I think this would be too much. I'd pick one only. We've done the breakfast and really enjoyed it. We've also done breakfast at RFC and through it was very good and something different. For lunch, we usually do CS at Flame Tree and grab a table down by the water. LOVE it! And the food is pretty good, too.
Dinner @ ‘Ohana at around 8:30 to hopefully see fireworks from restaurant We always enjoy 'Ohana. However, there aren't many tables with a good view of the fireworks. Personally, I'd do an earlier dinner and then walk out to the beach for the fireworks.

6/4 - Epcot day
Breakfast @ resort
DD to BBB in DTD early in the day
Lunch @ Askershus Haven't tried.
Dinner @ Teppan Edo Haven't tried since the rehab. Last time we went, our cook wasn't very entertaining and the food was only okay. I'd try again though now that we have DS. I think he'd get a kick out of it.

6/5 - Magic Kingdom Day – we’ll be meeting up w/friends to celebrate their son’s b-day
Breakfast @ ‘Ohana Never tried.
Lunch - ? need more suggestions If you're looking for TS, you could always jump on the monorail and try Kona Cafe or the GF Cafe.
Dinner @ Chef Mickey’s (friend already has ressies for son’s b-day dinner)Haven't tried.

6/6 - Hollywood Studios day
Breakfast at resort
DS to Pirate Cruise @ Grand Floridian
Lunch - ?? More suggestions? I find the CS at DHS the worst. If you want TS, 50's Primetime is fun and has decent food.
Dinner @ Sci Fi Drive In

6/7 - Breakfast @ Cape May CaféHaven't tried.
Lunch - ???
Dinner @ Yachtman Steakhouse to commemorate a great vacation coming to an end Haven't been here since 2000 but enjoyed it then and it seems to still get good reviews.

6/8 – Leaving WDW in the afternoon
Breakfast - ???
Lunch – Coral Reef (early lunch) Had dinner here a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it..

Please tell me what you think is right & what is wrong w/my plan! I love this site & all the info I've learned here! Thanks again!!!!

I think everything is fine. I wouldn't personally go to Planet Hollywood, we ate at one and it wasn't that great. I think there are better choices out there.

I would change Planet Hollywood to something else at DTD. In my experience, it's really a disaster of a restuarant. We had long waits (even with ADRs), terrible food, and really bad service both times I've been there. And my experiences have been confirmed by several others I've talked to about it. I'd really consider Raglan Road or a resort restuarant.

6/2 - Magic Kingdom day
Breakfast @ Crystal Palace -- Excellent choice! If you do get an early reservation before the park opens, make sure you walk to the right side of the entrance plaza and enter near the dining sign at MK.
Lunch - ? Any ideas?? -- I second the idea of the Plaza.
Dinner @ Whispering Canyon

6/3 – Animal Kingdom Day
Breakfast @ Tusker House
Lunch @ Tusker House (for Nemo package) – is this too much of the same place in one day? -- I wouldn't go to the same place twice. I also really don't think the Nemo package is necessary. If you feel it is, I'd go to breakfast at Boma at the AKL.
Dinner @ ‘Ohana at around 8:30 to hopefully see fireworks from restaurant

6/4 - Epcot day
Breakfast @ resort
DD to BBB in DTD early in the day
Lunch @ Askershus
Dinner @ Teppan Edo -- We love Teppan Edo!

6/5 - Magic Kingdom Day – we’ll be meeting up w/friends to celebrate their son’s b-day
Breakfast @ ‘Ohana -- Great character interaction!
Lunch - ? need more suggestions -- Since breakfast and dinner will be so much food, you might consider a counter service, like Columbia Harbor House.
Dinner @ Chef Mickey’s (friend already has ressies for son’s b-day dinner)

6/6 - Hollywood Studios day
Breakfast at resort
DS to Pirate Cruise @ Grand Floridian
Lunch - ?? More suggestions? -- Brown Derby rocks, and you probably have enough credits for a signature experience. 50s Prime Time is also fun.
Dinner @ Sci Fi Drive In -- Food isn't very good, but the atmosphere is fun.

6/7 - Breakfast @ Cape May Café
Lunch - ??? -- I'd hit some of the counter service in World Showcase. Otherwise, you'd be dealing with a tremendous amount of food.
Dinner @ Yachtman Steakhouse to commemorate a great vacation coming to an end

6/8 – Leaving WDW in the afternoon
Breakfast - ???
Lunch – Coral Reef (early lunch)

Obviously you know your kids better than anyone, but I can't imagine my nieces sitting still for that much dining. (And they are very well-traveled kids who eat out *a lot*.) Also, if you haven't been as a family, I wouldn't want to spend that much touring time in restaurants. However, if your kids will find those dining experiences to be good breaks, I think most of your choices will be a lot of fun. Have a great trip!

Most sound good, but timing in between will mean alot too.

What is the Nemo package. Never heard that one.
I have only eaten at Tuskerhouse when it was still CS, but I loved it. I don;t think it wil lbe too much in one day since one is breakfast and one is lunch, so two different meals, and I don't beleive the characters are there for lunch?

Are these 2 places different enough - food wise - to visit in the same day?

Thanks for all the ideas!

I think they are. Sci-Fi is burgers for lunch (best reviews0, while 50's PTC has a variety of food from burgers to fried chix to meat loaf. And the atmospheres are VERY different.

How long does it typically take to eat dinner at 'Ohana?

Depends on how much you eat! LOL! Seriously, though, I've never been to 'Ohana for dinner and gotten in right at my ADR time. I've always had to wait a little for a table. This year DS actually wanted to participate in the games, so that made dinner last a little longer as well. If you're trying to do the fireworks, I would give yourself at least 1.5-2 hours so you don't have to feel rushed. And that will give you extra time in case have to wait for your table...and give you time to waddle out to the beach after eating all of that food!!

Hi, Minnie

Sci Fi has burger, sandwiches, salads and shakes. 50's Prime time has fried chicken, meatloaf, pot roast, salads, and sandwiches.

Hope you enjoy!

We've used the Deluxe Dining Plan before. Here's my thoughts. Looks like you did a good job with location, traveling, etc. The only day I'd question is 6/7. We always recommend going to Yachtsmen when you are at the Studios because it is a short boatride across the water. Cape May Cafe should be when you are at Epcot because it is close to it. It just cuts down on travel time. I'm also concerned about how many buffets you booked. See my comments below.

6/1 – Traveling & arriving early afternoon
Hanging out @ DTD
Dinner @ Planet Hollywood

6/2 - Magic Kingdom day
Breakfast @ Crystal Palace (hoping for 1st ressie of the day)
Lunch - ? Any ideas??
Dinner @ Whispering Canyon

I'd go to Pecos Bill's for lunch. Great fixin's bar there! It's also a small meal in-between two buffets.

6/3 – Animal Kingdom Day
Breakfast @ Tusker House
Lunch @ Tusker House (for Nemo package) – is this too much of the same place in one day?
Dinner @ ‘Ohana at around 8:30 to hopefully see fireworks from restaurant

I wouldn't go to the same restaurant twice in one day. I'd say skip breakfast at Tusker House and have it at your resort or a CS. You'll be eating at two buffets that day so you want to go light on breakfast.

6/4 - Epcot day
Breakfast @ resort
DD to BBB in DTD early in the day
Lunch @ Askershus
Dinner @ Teppan Edo

6/5 - Magic Kingdom Day – we’ll be meeting up w/friends to celebrate their son’s b-day
Breakfast @ ‘Ohana
Lunch - ? need more suggestions
Dinner @ Chef Mickey’s (friend already has ressies for son’s b-day dinner)

I'd grab a turkey leg or a light lunch. You have two buffets here again.

6/6 - Hollywood Studios day
Breakfast at resort
DS to Pirate Cruise @ Grand Floridian
Lunch - ?? More suggestions?
Dinner @ Sci Fi Drive In

You might want to hit Prime Time Cafe for lunch. It's a great spot to try. Also, consider switching this so it is your Magic Kingdom day. This way you won't have to travel so much from/to the Studios for the pirate cruise.

6/7 - Breakfast @ Cape May Café
Lunch - ???
Dinner @ Yachtman Steakhouse to commemorate a great vacation coming to an end

See comments above.

6/8 – Leaving WDW in the afternoon
Breakfast - ???
Lunch – Coral Reef (early lunch)

Are you planning on going to Epcot that day? I wouldn't book Coral Reef unless these were your plans. Remember, book your meals at the park you are going to or a resort near the park you're going to.

My other thought is to condense some of the breakfasts a bit. We never used our breakfast vouchers on the Deluxe Plan because it was way too much food. You won't be able to move in the parks. Consider skipping all breakfasts or leaving just one. You can use your snack credit for a pastry, coffee, etc. if you need a little something in the morning. With the extra credits, you can visit some signature restaurants instead. I'd recommend Narcoossee's, Jiko, Le Chefs, etc.

Thanks to all of you for your ideas! I took some of your suggestions and made my ADRs today - only on the phone for an hour & 12 minutes:rolleyes1
